Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I'd shoot revolver if more people did it. I'd shoot revolver if more people did it! I'd shoot revolver is more people did it!! I'd shoot revolver if if if if
  2. I appreciate why people wouldn't shoot wheelgun, but I don't understand the actual Hate for the division. What's wrong with people showing up and having fun?
  3. Next weekend! I just looked, 12 revolvers, 7 senior, 2 super senior. Buncha old farts! Should be a good match! ...maybe not for me... but I'm still looking forward to it!
  4. I'm trying to get a plan together for larger matches to shoot in 2017. I'm pre-excited at the possibility of a central states regional!
  5. SCCC can definitely handle a big match. ACC runs a couple good size matches and it's centrally located. South Central Gun Club, near Freetown/Seymour has really improved their range. It's not as close to the interstate as SCCC and it's smaller. Come to think of it, all three have made nice improvements in the last couple years. I know SCCC has an active ICORE club, but I don't know if ACC's club is still alive.
  6. pretty sure it'd be legal for USPSA Production. Maybe limited 10? Open. I've seen pictures of a 10-shot N-frame, 32 cal. achieved by moving the barrel center outward.
  7. Yes ... you're right. (a lot of trouble for little gain I suppose). I want it to work! I've handled one and I Liked it! but it has no purpose, so I can't see myself buying one. It felt good, you can simulate the feel by taking the cylinder out of your 4" 686. I even liked the trigger of the one I handled. Maybe some day when I'm rich...
  8. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the titanium 9mm cylinder? You'd arrive back at a 686?
  9. I have the SP101-22 and I wouldn't recommend it. It's possible I got a poor one, but the trigger is heavy and gritty. Really heavy, possibly 15-18lbs. Kind of ridiculous for such a small revolver. I love the size and scale, but I haven't figured the trigger out yet. I'm really hoping to try a 617 soon!
  10. Funny that this thread just got bumped up. I decided to make a couple quick-n-dirty loader holders for a match this weekend. I tried something a little different on each one, so my mass production skills are weak! I also didn't put any effort into finishing touches(didn't even wipe off my paint pen!). My total outlay for materials is roughly $5. My only real requirement for these holders was retention and they all hold securely. I like the one on the far right the best, so I might make 5 more of those. That's only if I have any fun playing this weekend! Kydex is both easy and frustrating to work with. If i was using a mold and making something relatively flat, it'd be a piece of cake. These 3-D shapes are a little more interesting. Edit: Hey, my 50th post was something of value! Yay! Edit 2: I need to retake kindergarten crafts. These things look pretty bad in the photo!
  11. I shot a Production Glock at one match while the Revo was visiting the smithy. Other than that, it's been only one revolver.
  12. Limited-6? I haven't signed up, but I might. Sounds like a good roadtrip.
  13. I was starting to think about it. At this rate, at least i could get Third.
