Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. update... kinda.... Mark 7 technical support is awesome! We believe the issue has been identified, and should have a resolution next week, tech support went way over expectations on a holiday weekend, as someone who works in support and has been on that end of the off duty weekend call during family time because you care and want to see it right, I will say I am very appreciative and impressed! I will update as soon as I can confirm that we are running 100% next week! Great job by their representative!
  2. about 10... brand new 1100 and brand new M7, the 1100 runs smooth as can be, the M7 clutch kicks in and locks up as soon as the brass enters the de-priming die!!!
  3. yes, and yes, the instructions weren't super clear about the 1100, only listing the super 1050 or the RL 1050, but they sent a newer picture of the instruction that shows the fwd and left holes on the base plate for the 1100 mount, and says to use the hole with the dot for the link bar, ensuring that the shell plate if fully up, set the gear on with the dot up then rotate to meet the bolt holes for the link bar, bolt it up, inset the set screw, cap, and nut, then (as shown in their youtube set up video) rotate it forward (shell plate down) loosen the motor mounts, put the belt on and rotate the sprocket back clockwise (shell plate back up to set the belt on. adjust the tension and snug the motor mounts back up. done that 4-5 times now, still no go, passes calibration, runs smooth with out brass, but as soon as you try to load a round it jams up at the de-priming station. Even at rest the motor has a very high pitched electronic buzz/whine, and even barely touching the belt or even pushing on the bench (it is bolted to the bench) will make the motor/clutch start chirping (as in the video on the media fire link)
  4. I know there are a few running the M7 drive on the 1100, hopefully someone can provide the insight needed to get this to run! I just got my new 1100 in today and am trying to hook it up with my brand new M7 drive. The instructions do not mention the 1100 mounting instructions (edit confirmed that they have a new instruction image, not included in the manual that says the 1100 goes in the super holes, and use the hole with the dot for the link bar, that is what i did). No matter what clutch setting is used from 3-20 i can not get passed the de-priming stage on once fired 38sc lubed brass with out the clutch activating. I have several videos on the following link showing how the servo seems to have a constant load on it and it super sensitive to even the slightest touch on the belt. I want to get this to work, but i don't know what else to do. Even on clutch 20 i cant load a single round. brand new 1100 that runs fine on its own, and a brand new M7 that wont let brass get more than 1/2 way into the die with out locking up https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8e043sjbvhl8q/
  5. I will check that out thanks, I ride the safety so I don't THINK it is that, but it is worth checking, it seems to cycle very smooth by hand. This all started after it was slow rust blued and had some other work done, but a... it never got hotter than boiling water temp, and b.... it has had 1400 rounds through it since then so if the bluing was the issue it should have worn in by now
  6. Good idea, we ended up doing that Sat after another failed range day, worked on the extractor some more, it might work now, I will try to test this week, weird thing is it worked flawless with that same extractor for about 10 matches with zero issues, it seems like tension is fine, it has NEVER been this picky on tension before, but now it either fails to eject and crushes case mouths or fails to feed under the extractor, no inbetween.... After a ton more work on the extractor we can slowly cycle it by hand with out the recoil spring and get it to feed and eject, hopefully it works, if not I'm out of ideas
  7. Checked about 50-pieces of brass, all are still right in spec on the extractor grove, this is crazy
  8. Good idea, thanks, I was too pissed off to think any more last night
  9. It is fairly tight, but I suppose trying a new one can't hurt and I have one here
  10. Ok thanks, I have a new one I will try to fit and see if that helps
  11. Unfortunately I don't have any new brass to compare it to, any clues as to what it should be
  12. That is possible, not sure how many times it has been loaded, some of it was pick up from an area match, others have maybe 4-5 times loaded, everything is case gauged crimp seems good, but it could be out of tolerance
  13. My 38sc SV open gun has decided it doesn't want to work anymore! It started stove piping every few rounds. I tried playing with extractor tension and swapping to 3 different extractors and several different ejectors, and tried 7#, 8#, and 9# recoil springs. No luck. I called SV and talked to brandon and sent him some pictures. He said it sounded like an extractor tension issue, and he noticed that we had widened the ejector channel in the breechface to match the channel in the slide to make fitting ejectors easier. He said that was costing me extractor tension, I'm not sure how, but ok. I got a new breechface and went with one of their ejectors, he said to use the 9 short, even though their site said that is for iron sight guns. He also said I need to use the aftec instead of the egw. New breechface and ejector are fitted, put the aftec back in and tried all three recoil springs again, and all three extractors. If I put enough extractor tension so that it doesn't stove pipe with crushed case mouths, then it fails to feed every few rounds, back off the extractor tension just a tiny bit and it stove pipes!!! New breechface New ejector New mag springs 3 new recoil springs Aftec (with one or two springs), EGW, and caspian extractors Won't get through a full mag with out an issue. I'm at a loss for what to do next
  14. Haha, yeah for sure, I like 18-20 yds, most of the matches I shoot are 30 yds and in with the occasional farther target, and the majority of targets are close that way it is either poa/poi or minimal hold off for 99% of the targets and you know what the hold off is for the occasional longer shot
  15. It's been a while since college.... But I'm fairly sure 15 feet is actually 5 yards.... I dunno I'll see if I can dig up some of my old notes and text books
