Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. It started with a cracked factory Sear I found a few days before the match. I replaced with new EGW sear and disco. Gun cycled and reset fine. During first stage SAT gun would not reset. Shoot once. Click. Manually cycle, bang, then click and repeat. Im sure it's related to replacement parts and sear spring tension.
  2. My STI classic crapped out on first stage. Used backup Trojan rest of match.
  3. Arched and flat MSH use different magwells.
  4. Hammer completely decocked. Some guns with manual safeties have a partial cock position. That doesn't count and will get you a procedural. Production folks generally don't touch their safety.
  5. I use 4 grns of TG with 230 rn bayou at 1240 oal. Great accuracy and little soot at 131 pf from 5 inch STI. Does get dirty at under 4 grns. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  6. Have anyone adjusted the tension on the sear spring? I've messed things up before by trying to go too light. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  7. Just add heat. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

  10. Heavier the bullet, the softer the feel. Its lighter bullets that increase felt recoil.
  11. It depends on how big you are. Thin people can and should do different things than big people. I know from years of lifting when I lock my arms they really dont look locked at all.

  13. Its way easier to shoot upon approach than backing away. Slowing and being on right foot when trigger breaks works well for me. And only doing it on close targets I am completely confident with. I also redefined what "On the move meant". I am old and fat. I found that going from dead stop to moving isnt quick. If I can shoot a target or two while transitioning from a stopped position really helped my stage times. I doubt If anyone watching thought I was even moving when I shot. The trick to being old and fat is multi-tasking.
  14. Pro grip is nicer but liquid grip is easier/cheaper to find. It helps me remember to grip harder. I know Vogel uses the shit out of it and my results have improved since I began using.
  15. Its three simple things. GRIP, GRIP and GRIP. Start closer that 21 feet. Grip 3 times harder than you think you should. Adjust from there.
