I’m researching how to attach an RMR/SRO to my P09 slide, the only hiccup is that I have an older version of the CZ Custom Multi Optic Cut (I attached the diagram below). Now I thought CZC made an adapter plate for this cut to fit an RMR as well but in my talks with them it may be an error on my part. Maple Leaf Firearms makes a Shield RMS to RMR adapter for the single stack 9’s that are popular but they don’t believe their adapter would work for me (I thought the RMS shared the screw/boss footprint of the Leupold DPP so I could hook up that adapter and then an SRO) Here is the link to that: Maple Does anyone know if this might work or know someone that could help me? Hello all, Any experience or information on the new Gen 2 grips from this company? I’m mainly interested in the sizing, Armanov has a hand guide but no specs on the width or circumference of the three sizes. I’ve reached out to Armanov and Cesar Shop without too much success on this... so I figured someone here must have this new grip and could advise on width and circumference. I’m mainly interested in the small and medium. I wear Mechanix Small, size 8 glove.

12lb CZ recoil spring and 13lb hammer spring installed - will report back!

I received the lock washers from Burris but they don’t appear to be the best solution so I shortened the mounting screws as mentioned above - here’s to hoping 2.5mm worth of threads and blue loc-tite keeps it going!

Great description - you and Rowdy may have saved me over $100. I love how the VZ’s feel, enough swell/real estate to them and also flat enough to help index the gun... but the fit is a little “off”. The grips flex a little too much during handling but I might fit them with some epoxy. Also the tactical diamonds from VZ are perfect for 9MM minor in my opinion - I never fully bought into razor sharp checkering or sandpaper grit jobs.

Can anyone compare them directly to the VZ grips with palm swells?

Working through it now that I’m off work. Burris FastFire 3 Screw length Factory is .3575 inches. There is approximately .250 length in thread total. When “installed” there is approximately .135 length thread exposed from the bottom of optic to bottom of screw. When measuring the CZC cut slide there appears to be around .125 inch depth of threads. So the screws are too long it appears. CZC did not respond to me today but I have emailed Burris on the availability of lock washers that some shooters use to offset this depth differential. Hopefully this helps someone!

Hello all, Recently came into a P-09 with a CZC multi-optic milled slide. I’ve had good luck with the CZC aluminum dovetail adapter but this direct milled optic is giving me some trouble. Any experience with the FastFire 3 mounted to this cut slide? It’s not mounting securely for me and the sight is rocking back and forth. I’m guessing the screws may be too long and interfering with the firing pin retaining roll pin? The index pins are fine, and the optic mounts flush with no screws but it’s funny - when the screws are barely engaging the threads (i.e. the bottom of the screw head is not engaging the beveled area of the optic) the FastFire feels more secure than when the screws are tightened up. When fully tightened the optic has significant forward to back rock... Any advice is appreciated!

I’ve only heard of the Wolff option. If you’ve narrowed down all the factors then it’s likely a combo of the extractor and spring. Please report back!

If y’all would check in, what hammer and recoil springs are you running in 9MM? How do like them? Just thinking it would be nice to have consolidated and updated information on the forum. I’ve been searching here and the CZ forum too. I’ve read reports of ISMI vs CZ75 recoil springs and various poundages regarding tracking and reliability. I’m about to try a 12lb CZ75 in my CO setup soon. By the way is the 13lb hammer spring on CGW’s site different from the CZ75 13lb CGW hammer spring? What sear springs/firing pin springs too?

Could it be related to the sear spring? I remember that had a connection to hammer follow. Are you using CGW or OEM for the hammer spring and sear spring?

Mystery pin is 2.474 inches long, the mystery firing pin spring is .682 inches long with a wire diameter of 0.0175. Edit: So the pin is likely a CZC extended pin for the 75B family but I can’t find information on the spring. Anyone filing down the extended part of the pin that goes past the breech face?

Hello all, I recently came into a P-09 that has a few mystery parts. One of them may be the firing pin... what is the stock length of the P-09 firing pin and the length of the extended? I ask because it appears that with the FPB active the firing pin can be pressed forward until a small amount of the pin protrudes from the breech face. Is this normal P-09 behavior or do I have an extended firing pin with a weaker spring? I will post measurements tonight when I get the chance. Thanks!

Hello all, Anyone have experience with a Shadow 2 adjustable rear but on a Shadow 1? I’ve completed the install however it looks slightly taller than the stock fixed rear even when it’s bottomed out. What front sight dimensions are you running on the Shadow 1 or Shadow 2 with this adjustable rear? Any tips or words of advice before I take it out to shoot it? Thanks!

I reached out to CZ Custom but I wanted to ask you helpful folks as well - any experience with the CZ Shadow Tactical Rear, SKU: 10103? I am searching for a sight that has that nice gradual slope towards the rear sight notch similar to this: Rear Sight My Shadow is currently running the stock OEM sights but I wanted something a little more similar to my Warren Tactical sights on my Glock. I don't want a big blocky sight picture, or just small chamfered corners - I want something to direct my eye to the notch to look through. Has anyone purchased one recently and would like to share their pictures or their thoughts?

Update for posterity: After modifying the OEM firing pin I have 100% reliability with factory and reloaded ammunition. I still have the extended firing pin on standby but the primer indentations are healthy. So Modified OEM pin, 13lb. hammer spring, and RAMI firing pin spring is working, for me, in my Shadow.

Oh and philippshen, all pin springs are brand new, I have RAMI, CGW reduced, and the stock that is 2017 manufacture.

When fitting the extended pin have y'all modified the front striking surface as well as the rear? My extended is coming in at 2.503 which is too close for comfort for me personally. I actually went and modified the OEM pin on the shelf so it stands out closer to .030 when installed - which is closer to the extended that stands out at .040. This modification with a RAMI spring will shoot a pen from the floor to the ceiling... or break the plastic completely on the bottom of the pen and shoot it two to three feet high. Still probably unreliable with this combo?

Hey everyone, I have a Shadow that is exhibiting light strikes with 13lb mainspring, stock firing pin and CGW reduced firing pin spring. On close inspection I noticed the firing pin is not protruding very far out where it contacts the hammer. Is this normal? While I don't have the best micrometer skills I can put some numbers out there. Stock FP is about 2.470 and from the back 'shelf' (where it contacts the stop plate) to the end where it contacts the hammer is .135, with the pin installed in the gun the back end stands out and proud by only about .020... which does not seem like much. I have the extended pin that I will fit soon enough but I would like to hear y'alls thought and maybe measurements. Thanks!

Any updates on progress? I was really interested in "building" a CZ open gun based on the SA platform but my "building" would be a much more plug and play process - and it seems like the biggest hurdle is the comp, correct? No real drop ins and no CZ smiths that do this kind of work? I've been following a few of these CZ open gun builds and looking at parts on CZ USA and CZ custom. I like this one the most though, bottom dollar!

How are the magwells on the X series? And any updates on the shootability of the platform?

How is the recoil on these Q5's? I've heard the PPQ can be a bit more snappy than other polymer guns, and felt that way about my P99 before I sold it. Also are y'all still playing with the spring rates? I know of a 48N rated rod from BT Guide rods, and Yellow/White Sprinco springs. I want to say there is some Glock compatibility but can't guarantee that, and still haven't heard of any non captured guide rods. How's everything working out?
