Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hello, I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with Bayou Bullets 150gr SWC's. I tried to do a search, but I wasn't successful. I will be loading them for a Les Baer .38 super. I just recently started loading for this caliber and have many different powders on hand. I am using Starline +p brass. Thanks.
  2. I would suggest getting what feels best. I own 2 Baers and 2 Wilson's. One of the WC's is a 9mm govt CQB. All of these guns are tack drivers and very reliable. Les Baers have the most man hours and hand fitting of big 4 companies if that matters to you. I work at a gun store that sells them all except SV and GI. Anyone of these guns could come with some type of problem or not function 100% and have to go back to get fixed. It is very rare though. Sometimes you see guns and you wonder how it even left the shop. What I'm saying is don't let someone's brand bashing sway you. They all have there pros and cons.
  3. No I don't unfortunately. He did not post it in his review. Hopefully soon I will try it out. I just bought 500rds and this is the first time I will be using the 255gr bullet.
  4. I'm also looking for the same data for Bayou Bullets 255gr bullet. One review on bayou's website used 4.1grs of WST @ 1.21 OAL. He was using a S&W 1911. I'm going to try that load, and some of the others recommended here.
  5. Bayou bullets are my favorite. Check his website and see if he has what you are looking for. Donnie is a great guy to deal with and you can call him with any questions you have.
  6. I recently bought 200 pcs of new starline brass for my 9mm. Is it normal when loading new brass for it be hard to push up the handle back to the staring position? I'm using a 550 press and I think it's the die with the powder funnel. I've only loaded once fired range brass before this. Thanks.
  7. I'm trying out these new powders I picked up this week. Anyone have any good success, and data they can share that has worked out for them? I will be shooting them from a 5" 1911. Thanks
  8. Bugsy I shot 27 of these yesterday and they did well. I am now going to load about fifty more, and also go up in grains .01 to 3.8 and see how the groups do. Thanks again.
  9. Can anyone share some load data for 135 gr BB's with either unique, BE, or CFE? I will be using a 5" 1911. I Don't shoot competition, I'm just looking for an accurate load to kill some paper. Thanks.
