Calls Shots (8/11)

  1. It’s been years since I had a Limcat but customer service was great to deal with back when I did.
  2. I double plug for open with in ear and then over ear electronics. open is more fun than the rest.
  3. Did you try comparing them at similar power factor? You will get different behaviors when running them 10pf higher or lower generally.
  4. The way they cut material on front it doesn’t look like it could be tapped for a frame mount either for the guys making open guns out of 320’s. With the cost I would have thought it would come drilled and tapped.
  5. can you post a photo? Interested in seeing how much modification it takes.
  6. Yes. Will definitely be checking one out.
  7. Only one company I know of with a lifetime warranty. I’ve had to send a gun in twice and both times they took care of it with no issue. Gun was over 30k round before the first trip.
  8. Need more info to unpack that one. Jammed on a round, jammed on the mag, jammed mechanically? unlikely it was caused by gun being dirty though.
  9. They make both. this is the newer paddle style. https://shop.springerprecision.com/p320-9-40-extended-magazine-release-paddle-rh/
  10. Springer makes a paddle version now that’s even bigger. I have the old and newer style. Newer style is a lot like 2011 mag release
  11. I’ve seen this several times in LE classes. So far a hammer and a punch has been able to tap it back down without replacing any parts. I’ve only seen it on slide lock reloads using mags that have extended bare pads.
  12. If you talk to Sig about it they say all cases like this in which any investigation has been allowed at all, show that some piece of foreign material or equipment found it’s way into the holster and manipulated the trigger discharging the gun. (That is if it is not a direct negligent discharge when trigger is pulled by user). Obviously I don’t know, but that claim makes sense when you look at the changes holster companies have been making to tighten up the body of the holsters to the firearm. The older Safariland holsters had all kinds of slack and wiggle in them compared to newer holsters and also had sealed bottoms where most newer designs have open bottoms. Regardless, the claim that something pulled the trigger rather than “it just fired on it’s own” makes more sense to me.

    Axg module

It’s a carry size grip (meaning it takes 17rd mags) with a compact length dust cover. So the rail ends at a 3.9” slide length.
  14. I’ve been using them several years now. Fewer issues than other open guns I’ve used. Anything can break and in open if you run it long enough it will. Especially in open. PT had taken care of any issue I had. A solid warranty on an open gun is hard to come by these days.
