  1. That is a killer price for sure. I'd be very tempted to grab a couple at that price.
  2. That is primarily what I've been dealing with as well, didn't matter if factory or reloads. I switched back to the factory striker spring and it helped. Also have trouble finding ammo that will feed reliably, factory or other. Everything popped off and fed in the Walther.
  3. Think that would be a good combo for sure. As far as the reliability, I also agree. My Walthers just run and are not as picky about ammo. That hard chrome though............
  4. Interesting!! May be just what I'm looking for. I go back and forth between my Rivals and my Walther SFs on which I like better. I prefer the weight of the steel gun but like the Rival's grip and trigger. Maybe this could be the happy medium.
  5. May pick up some plated to try out, though they won't chamber the Eley 147s at 1.15. Could be a bullet profile thing as well. Been running 135 Blue Bullets since I had a bunch on hand. Thanks
  6. Well, 200 or so rounds down range and all went bang. Only thing I did was replace the Newton spring with the factory one, not sure why the Newton was giving me fits. May go ahead and work up a load to 1.085 like Mancolt mentioned and roll with that.
  7. Didn't consider that in all my frustration. I did shorten my OAL to 1.12 in order to get them to run but perhaps I need to shorten them a little more as well. Thanks for the tip.
  8. I’m right there with you. If I can’t figure it out I may just have to part with them. Don’t want to waste time chasing gremlins. I’ve been using CCI primers and have never had an issue until now.
  9. I was thinking high primers as well but bought factory ammo and still having the issues. Going out today with reloads, factory stuff, a bunch of springs and a couple other guns to see if I can’t figure it out.
  10. Yes!! I'm trying to work through the issues now. Pulled the Newton striker spring out and am going to try some different, including the factory one, striker springs. It doesn't seem to matter what primers I use. Also doesn't seem to matter what factory ammo I use either, that is when I can find some that will chamber.
  11. Red hill tactical on a BOSS hanger here. Very nice holster.
  12. Thanks to all in this thread for pushing me over the edge. Been wanting to jump into the CO game but wasn't sure which way I wanted to go. I went to look at a Rival after reading this thread and ended up buying a couple of them. Decked them out with items discussed here and went to the first match I could. Guns shoot great and are a ton of fun! Thanks again.
  13. And who might this guy be as I happen to know a guy who might want one. lol FGW makes some nice guns and it should serve you well, enjoy it. My FGW open has been a shooter!
  14. Nicely put together video. I 've had mine for a couple months now and love it. Would have snagged the one on here for a back up if I'd have seen it sooner. ha
  15. Yes they do. I've used them on my Limited and Open guns with the signature grips. No problems at all with feeding or dropping out when I want them to.
  16. I've had good luck with the Delta Point Pro.
  17. Don't think you could go wrong with one of his builds. I've shot his open guns and am seriously considering having him build me a limited gun as well.
  18. That's great! I hear nothing but good things about Glenn/LSI. Can't wait to get mine started.
  19. Good looking pistol!! Just getting into open myself but am wanting LSI to build my main piece as soon as I find the funds.
  20. Welcome! If you haven't already, check out the River City Shooters club. They put on good matches that us boys from the Deep South drive up for. Don't miss the River City Shootout, their big match of the year.
  21. I've started using the Patriot Defense tunable brake. It's light weight (2.1 oz) and works very well. I was able to tune it to a variety of rifles, 10.3", 12.5', 14.5" and 16". I'm very impressed and happy with it.
  22. Yes it would be. I didn't like the cloudy, to me, glass on the Strike Eagle. The P4xi glass is much clearer. Not as clear as my Razor but much better than the Strike Eagle. It's good glass for the price point for sure. I put it on a 12.5" for a bay gun. Several guys I shoot with are looking at picking one up after shooting mine.
  23. Don't think you can go wrong with either. I have and shot a DVC last year and had no issues with it at all. Have also shot a Brazos gun and would have no trouble purchasing one they've worked on. I'd lean towards the DVC between the two because of the reduced grip and I like the looks. I realize that's a personal thing and a grip can be added to the Brazos.
  24. Stinger Supremacy has some good light weight options. Have a 10" on an SBR and just picked up their 15" vanquisher for $86.99 shipped. They're basically a Midwest clone.
  25. Go to your local WalMart and buy the Perfecta .223. At $14 for 50 rds it's hard to beat. It shoots good, it's clean and pretty accurate out to 300 yds.
