Ok thanks for the reply. You are correct, my basepads are the 140mm. I initially decided to start shooting uspsa for 3 gun practice, but I had such a good time that I would like to actually dedicate myself to both, while still using the same pistol. I'm assuming by your post that the sights and trigger won't keep me out of production? And that would be the best division for me to be the most competitive?

Im new to USPSA, and just shot my first match Saturday at Owensboro rifle and Pistol Club. Ive shot quite a bit of 3 gun but never uspsa . My 3 gun pistol is a glock 34, and that's what I used Saturday. I have TTI SIGHTS, TTI basepads, and some trigger work done. I shot limited division because of my basepads, but I also have 6 factory length mags also. I'm wondering if there are any other divisions I could shoot in, mainly production, in order to get the benefit of shooting a 9mm. The few mods listed above are the the only things I have added to the gun. I guess my main question is, am I holding myself back with my choice of pistol and division? Is there anything I can do to help get the most out of what I'm using? I apologize if my question doesn't make sense or if I'm misunderstanding how the divisions work, and i appreciate any input.

Today I shot my first USPSA match. I've shot quite a bit of 3 gun, but never USPSA, and i dont quite understand the nreakdown on scoring. When I checked the scores on practiscore, I was listed in class "X". I thought maybe that meant limited minor, but I seen other guys who shot in different divisions listed under class x also. Could someone give me a quick breakdown so I could better understand how to read the results? If I click on the limited tab under "class leaders", it says I placed first in class x. If i click the limted tab under "overall", it says i placed 4th. I'd like to get a better understanding of this means and couldn't the information anywhere with searching. Thank you.

Here is the spring on the follower

Just got 3 TTI +6 basepads with springs in the mail today. I was super excited to try them out so I pulled my factory bases off, put the new ones on, and loaded them up. Went to unload them and on every mag the follower got stuck right behind the 14 and 15 round holes. I wasn't sure how to take them off so I dumped the remaining rounds out and just pulled the base off of one. Now the bottom of the mag looks messed up. What did I do wrong, and did I ruin my mags? Hope this isn't my punishment for selling my springers and going glock. I really want to shoot it tomorrow since I also ordered TTI sights and the grandmaster trigger kit. And these are the only mags I have. This is my first time messing with glocks since I have always talked trash to my glock friends and always shot XDs and XDMs. These are the stuck followers and the bottom of the mag.

My dad and I have a bunch of steel plates and clay stands and enjoy getting friends together to shoot at our farm. We have been thinking about setting up a "Rumble on the Range" style shoot with a double elimination bracket for a fun day of competition. I was wondering if anyone knew the official distances and target sizes for that setup. I was also hoping for some help on designing a stand for the double crossover popper. All of our steel is only Ar400 now so we don't have anything we can shoot rifles at. I'm thinking about some 4" or 5" round Ar500 knock-over plates from Xsteel targetso to use for the rifle. Would that be a sufficient size if they are moved closer, or some type of rest were made available for the shooters? I know most of this is really up to us and doesn't really matter, but I hoping for some opinions on what some of you guys thought, or if you any ideas that could help. I'd love to have some plate racks and the real MGM double popper but there's just no way we could afford it consider we host the shoots for free due to insurance purposes. Thanks

Hmm, well I really think od prefer a 16" barrel to an 18", but ifor the 18" would be noticibly less than maybe the extra 2" wouldn't be so bad.

Ok, I thought of another question. If using an adjustable gas block, would there be a noticeable difference in recoil with a 16" midlength and 18" rifle? (All other things being equal) My thinking leads me to believe that the adjustable gas block would be able to cut back the excess on the middy to make it equal to the rifle length.

Does a lightwieght bcg require a special buffer, or does a standard rifle length buffer work ok?

Thanks for the offer, but I live in the southern part of the state and shoot most of my matches in Kentucky. For some reason the northerners have all kinds of matches up there and we don't have any. Kinda sucks because I'd like to try my SBRs sometime but i don't want to take them out of state.

Thank you, that's a good idea. Problem I don't know anyone with a gun like that right now. Maybe I'll ask around at the next match and see if I can try someone's out.
