Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. 100% donated, they also have some other great T shirts and items http://relentlessdefender.com/dallas-strong-challenge-coin-100-proceeds-donated/
  2. A while ago, a years or so a police officer came up with the idea of using a blue light bulb in the porch light to show support for the police officers that were shot. This was before the war on police started. I think it time to bring back the idea and spread it across the USA With the new LED bulbs, they give a lot of light and use little electricity. I leave ours on 24/7 you can see it blocks away in either direction. If you like the idea please pass it on.
  3. I use a Harvey depriming tool while watching the tube, before tumbling. I have a tray set up with a container to catch the powder crap/curd and inspect each case along with separating any other sized cases. plus remove any wrinkles in the mouth of the case area. The above shows the 5.56mm I use it on 9mm, .50 AE, and .50 beowulf
  4. For what it is worth I was told that it indicates military ordinance ammo. have no idea if it is true or not. but it does look like the little device used to signify thinks that may go boom!
  5. I ordered the Bondic brand adhesive from Amazon, they have a couple of good deals and with the prime membership shipping is free. I ordered the one set that came with two extra tubes of the adhesive. For a lot less than the TV version. I wanted to use it on my case trimmers I have dedicated ones for the desert Eagle .50A.E. and the .50 Beowulf, I put something to act like handles on each and then I can keep both the shell holder and base together with the large trimmer and proper cal bar. In the re-purposed drill/tap containers, since they don't see much use with the straight wall casings. After drilling the correct sized hole for the shaft, I then counter sunk the hole edge to give the adhesive a larger area to grip. I washed the machining oil residue of it before mounting it in the die, have a bunch left over from the magic trick manufacturing days. After seating I apply the adhesive in the counter sunk area. Now the only thing that didn't work right was the length of time they said to expose the adhesive to the light. I double the amount of time not less than 5 sec as I moved it around the adhesive line. Just remember that this adhesive only will work were the light cures it. It worked equally well on the steel to cheap plastic the dice are made from, and the wood small file handles to the steel of the shell holder mount. My file handles required that the hole be enlarged. I tried to twist them apart with more force than they will receive in use. This adhesive works as advertised.
  6. Recently in looking for the head space gauges for my .50 A E and .50 Beowulf I came across this company and their gauges .50 Beowulf 5.56/.223 They have other large bore ones both slot and unslotted. They also will be coming out with 9mm Sheridan Engineering Just a satisfied customer!
  7. At the Novi Mi show admission is between $5.00/10.00 a person, and parking is about the same. They closed the Taylor Gibraltar trade center, So the only other one is this weekend at the Mount Clemens Gibraltar trade center. (once a month). It is $2.00 parking and $5.00 per person. So I would say that the big box stores or even the LGS/range has better prices. If you live in the area that gets the local shopping paper they do put a free parking on Fridays in it. but it is good only on Fridays. I have only been going to the Mount Clemens shows for a year again I am able to go on Fridays, Most of what I have seen is over priced. I will admit that I have gotten a couple great deals. Mostly because I was looking for some un common items and the vendors were tried of carrying them around. I generally go to see two friends that sell at the gun shows, D&G tools and Medic man. I have found that Amazon has some great prices on reloading and gun stuff, I haven't checked to see if they sell powder or not.
  8. A word and caution about buying used books on amazon, Be careful as a lot of the "dealers" selling out of print books think because they are they are worth a ransom. generally they aren't. Here are some other sources on the net, this one is great for price comparisons AddALL book search and price comparison this one is just the search AddALL Used and Out of Print book search A couple more good ones Alibris - Books You Thought You'd Never Find / Used, Rare, and Out-of-Print Books Powell's Bookstore-used, new, and out of print books Here is a trade group if you are interested in a real classic Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America || Home For new and more current books on all subjects that are sold at up too 80% off this is the place. Also check on Amazon their used books biz is growing larger by the day. Nonte's Classic Modern hand loading covers all aspects including powder manufacturing. Most of the bullet makers data manuals cover aspects of it, on Amazon with the newer books you can look inside the book it generally covers the inde/chapter listing and selected area's.
  10. Here is a new one you may find of interest Gun digest books ISBN978=1-4402-4531-2 Trade paperback copyright 2015 Philip P Massaro This is the new edition with the latest trends, and has a catalog of components, and equipment from most of the major brands. The information half has full color clear and bright photos. the catalog section has clear B&W photo's The editor has a number of books on the art and science of reloading. I enjoyed the read There are a number of specialized sections that have no interest for me. So I skipped them. 16 featured stories, on wild cats, ackley,s parent cases, classic hunting revolvers. Along with stuff for beginners and old hands. There are two book excerpts, and metallic and shotshell reloading catalogs. It can seem a little pricey At the suggested retail of $34.99. But on the ZON with prime it was around $26.99 Gun Digest Books.com has stuff on sale right now. All in all I found it to be worth it for me.
