Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. How is everyone loading their hundo up after a reload session? I saw this video for the Armanov case gauge and was wondering if someone had a product or even technique to speed up this process. Unfortunately this product doesn't work for the shockbottle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itmMkZGlcGo
  2. Was able to solve the issue tonight. Trigger shoe wasn't that undersized (0.246") but since it was, it allowed me to move the trigger laterally and change the sear engagement. I widen the trigger bow slowly with magazine tuner pliers. Going slow, I was able to widen the bow to remove the lateral play even when moving the shoe aggressively, and maintained the movement of the trigger, resistance free. Wanted to post my solution here for the next person that might come across this issue. I suspect the PT Evo grip is much wider than 0.250". I didn't caliper it in the moment. Tested mags and they drop free with no impact from the trigger bow.
  3. I bought two new Atlas triggers this week, and when trying to fit the trigger into the grip, I noticed that the bow is very narrow compared the width of the channel in the grip. This was true for both triggers that I bought. I can put enough lateral movement in the shoe that will cause a very inconsistent trigger pull, which is understandable since the sear engagement is changing. Anyone seen this? I sent Atlas a support ticket, but they are closed for the next 10 days.
  4. Oh wow. I like the S3 option!
  5. I was using a cart as well. Great for sharing with friends or a large cooler.
  6. Setup a new range cart because I wanted to add a seat, as well as an umbrella for the summer sun. Just wanted to share my setup. Zuca Backpack Cart LG CED/DAA RangePack (Medium) Zuca Umbrella Holder Zuca Seat Cushion 3" PVC pipe to hold the umbrella when its not in use
  7. I remember seeing in the video to sharpie the magnets when you take them out so they are pointed in the same direction during reassembly. Thanks for the reminder.
  8. That's a great idea! I just watched the DAA disassembly video and that makes total sense.
  9. Thanks for the feedback guys. PT block it is.
  10. I current have a DAA Alpha-X with the STI block installed. Recently installed a PT grip onto my 2011. The PT grip fits into the STI grip and it's decent.. I can get a smooth release, but sometimes if my draw is a little off, I get hung up in the holster. I'm new to race holsters. Is the hang up normal? Or should I consider getting the PT block for my PT grip. It makes sense to do so, but considering how decent the STI block is currently working out, I'm wondering if I would really gain anything.
  11. Thanks guys. I used a belt sander and it patiently worked out well.
  12. Got a new thumbrest, and the screws are too long when screwed into my dust cover (as expected). I've measured the length with calipers, so I know how much I need to take down, but what is the best way of doing that without damaging the threads (too much). I've seen some youtube videos of people taking down bolts and re-threading the damaged threads with nuts, but I don't have same thread pattern nuts (although I can go to my hardware store to do so if that is the best solution). Wonder if anyone on here has suggestions on how to do this?
  13. Thanks. I will take a look at this. My press is factory new. I just broke 1000 rounds on this machine, but I will double check all those things. Using Federal and Winchester. Didn't seem to happen with Federals, but I know those are slightly smaller.. could be the difference.
  14. New to the 1050, but I've noticed that in every batch of 100, I will get a case that is not primed, and subsequently, lots of powder ends up on my shell plate. Annoying to say the least. My primer follow rod already has a 124gr bullet on the top, capped off by a case, but I have to wonder, when the rod wobbles with a relatively full primer magazine, if that weight is working to feed the primer shuttle properly. I'm guessing a more rigid rod with a weight on the top should help solve this issue? I've seen the Level 10 Innovations primer follow rod as an option. Wondering if others have experienced the same as me, and how they fix this.
  15. I realize it's probably a bit late for your build, but for those that find they need something between the tactical and aggressive grip, SVI can 'dehorn' the aggressive grip down to give you a happy medium between the two.
