Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. No complaints; they are reliable performers at a good price point. I've loaded common pistol and rifle calibers in several different Dillon presses with both Dillon and non-Dillon dies.
  2. Has there been any change as a result of the Feb 2014 Membership Report (specifically the removal of 1 classifier limit for regular matches)? http://www.uspsa.org/document_library/2014/Membership%20Report.pdf ... or is that being fixed right after weekly classification updates?
  3. I hear there is a labyrinth full of trolls with a similar disposition towards USPSA, and have become a complete festering sore for the prim and proper leadership. They probably won't be able to cure whatever you think ails the organization, but you may find it entertaining to watch them try. Their goblin king may be summoned here.
  4. 12#, KKM barrel, carver comp, slide mounted deltapoint. Some days it runs like a glock, and some days it runs like an open gun.
  5. I thought the exact same thing until I saw trgt's RF100. I am absolutely converted. If you spent the money on a case feeder, you should consider it. Now that I've tried it, I'd rather give up the bullet feeder than go back to pickup tubes. I'm one of the 'recovering' manual primer pickup tubers.
  6. ... and, we shoulda known this was coming: http://m.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2014/03/05/glock-has-air-gun-maker-in-its-sights.html?r=full
  7. What is your tracer/ball mix ratio? Oh, and you do realize that most of us are not behind corporate firewalls that block NSFW content, right?
  8. I tried a Blackhawk CQC (for a real G17/G22). It is slightly looser than the Comp-Tac, but it doesn't quite fit either. Either one is close enough for practice, as long as I don't mind the lack of a firm "click" into place and the grip riding about 1/2" higher than the real thing.
  9. Wow, I wish I had a garage. I think between the timer beep and the dots in the living room, my wife is ready to reenact Vincent D'Onofrio's last scene in Full Metal Jacket.
  10. I just ordered a KSC G17 from airsplat. They have a black Friday special of 35% off*. Coupon code is "BLACK35". * legal yada yada --- which I incorrectly assumed would exclude the G17. The unit price came out to $113.74 (plus tax/ship); mags are $22.74.
  11. Throw me in the mix for production: A82779. I'm currently a big fat U. @trgt - I think we shot the same match Saturday.
  12. Lots of good stuff in this thread. Depending upon the circumstances, I sometimes add: - Chrono (likely uses the same tripod as Video Cam in earlier post - Lowe's has one for less than $30) - Pull cart / garden wagon (depends upon if parking is close; also serves as a good umbrella stand or base for a work surface) - Bungee cords (goes with cart) - Cooler w/ ice - Small pistol case/bag (if you are in a state that has cumbersome transportation requirements, and you don't want to drag a locked pelican case to the safe area) - Box of nitrile gloves (in addition to wet-paint-steel-setting work gloves, above) - Purell - Chap stick - Glock magazine baseplate removing tool (if applicable) - Extra grip tape - Q-tips (cleaning kit) - 5-gal bucket for brass & shell sorting pans (works for a whole squad; too lazy for ziplock bags) - Brass wand/roller/picker-upper-thingy - USPSA rule book (particularly to resolve arguments at the bar after the match) - Cold hard cash (sometimes due to the item above; also useful for food vendors and buying spare parts you didn't think you would need)
