  1. A lot are now using strong magnets to hold speed loaders, they will run a screw up the bottom middle to attach.
  2. NO, Ron Power sells shims for just that issue. Go to his website or Midway and get a pack.
  3. Contact mark mandrell at Midwest competition gun works. Midwestcompetitionworks.com
  4. Up to 14 now, 1 full squad and 2 of us on another. Expect at least a couple more of our local Revolver Enthusiasts at some point.
  5. Well registration has been open for a day and we have 9 revolvers already.
  6. Send an email to dnroi and ask. Looks like a few newer one's have this omission. He always responds quickly. Might be as simple as allowing each club to set the height to adapt safely to each individual range? Or might be a general policy listed somewhere.
  7. Yes they couldn't get enough RO's to make the staff reset work and decided on not doing the am/pm.
  8. Yes just got confirmation, they are going back to all day squads and competitor reset, didn't get enough RO's. Sorry for the confusion, it's a new committee this year and they have great ideas and plans. https://practiscore.com/free-state-kansas-championship-2024/register
  9. Registration is now open https://practiscore.com/free-state-kansas-championship-2024/register
  10. Did that in a uspsa match 2 years ago, fun.
  11. With your schedule i can understand, the goal is to have fun.
  12. Kind of a conundrum? I'd rather have a physical stage vs a memory stage. But you design it and run it and I won't gripe about shooting it. And give me the courtesy in reverse.
  13. You got 10 on me and I know I am slowing down. Hope im still at it like you then.
  14. Carrying a dummy, haven't done that since double tap 2 decades ago. Guess that would be considered physical.
  15. With good moons 38 specials don't give up anything and you don't have to reload. Jess christensen won the 2022 free state with that combo. He is making a return for the a3 sc championship in april. I should be practicing rather than posting!
  16. Agreed 100%. I would recommend to new shooters to learn irons first. But im probably wrong. Ease, supposedly, of use reigns supreme in the modern world though. And I am just a grumpy old dinosaur!
  17. Practicing with a Dot tells you where your grip and trigger work are lacking. But at the expense of learning the sight picture needed for a given shot with iron sights. With the trend for Dots on all things Iron Sights are becoming dinosaurs! Heck even USPSA is looking at allowing Dots on Revolvers! Oh the humanity.
  18. Applying pressure with the heel of yours palm as you trigger the shot. Opposite of milking. Only good repetitions will fix it.
  19. Not something to correct this late for that match. I had the same issue for quite some time. Was due to lack of practice with proper technique. It's an issue of getting used to isolating the weak hand trigger finger. Takes practice and repetition.
  20. Yes same number of stages fewer shooters per squad.
  21. To all of my Revolver Buddies, we have 1 week until the 2024 USPSA Free State Championships, held on August 31st, are open on Practice Score https://practiscore.com/free-state-kansas-championship-2024/register. Do not know how fast it will fill up, but the last monthly USPSA Match sold out? This year the plans are for a Staff Reset Match, depending on luring in enough RO's, the squads will be a maximum of 8 competitors and there will be an AM and PM Flight on Saturday (Staff only on Friday). If it works out you won't have to do anything but Shoot your Revolver and your vocal cords while telling tall tales and whatnot. I promise to listen more this year, so bring some good stories! There will be no tear down as they are leaving the COF's up for a separate USPSA match on Sunday, $25 to $30 for a 2nd shot at the stages, and tear down will be done then. Random draw prizes will be done at some point, just not sure of the format yet. Awards may be mailed out. The last few years we had 14 Revolvers, give or take a few, I'm hoping to increase that amount in '24!
  22. Yes, it is at the MCRC. The next weekend after the Area 3 SC we start up this years ICORE matches at the same range https://practiscore.com/april-mill-creek-icore/register.
  23. Yes been at this since 1978.
  24. And bianchi requires the flag be left in.
