Calls Shots (8/11)

  1. Well you have convinced me to buy one now.
  2. I heard conflicting stories about those files. Are they CSV or a Garmin proprietary file?
  3. The phone app of for the LabRadar is horrible. It is only good to activate the unit and then it loses connection. I think my LabRadar unit has finally crapped out me. I have been looking at picking up the Garmin. I just need the info for load development. I take the numbers and manually put them in a spreadsheet. The other major issue I have with LabRadar is support. Don’t ask for it because you are not going to get it.
  4. I have tried both and ended up with the Hunters Gold. I have not tried them with a red dot because I still shoot iron sights. The Hunters Gold made the colors for vibrant and could see my hits better in low light as compared to the Ruby’s.
  5. Also make sure your barrel is for 556 and not 223. This will prevent any pressure issues. You are not chambered for the 224 Valkyrie, so do not use that one. Lastly the RCBS die will do fine for what you are needing. Make sure you have crimp die if you are shooting it out of 556.
  6. You have to give a report on your experience with them. I was going to order 5k for my Shadow 2, but was wanting to hear someone’s opinion before I ordered. Yours will be great since we are both using the same type of gun and extended firing pin.
  7. It looks nice and I am sure does a great job. I like the small size and looks easy to use. The only downside is the $600 price tag. I already own a LabRadar and it does a great job. I will look into getting that Garmin when my current chrono goes out on me.
  8. I had Caspian on the brain when I wrote this, it is a Cheely frame.
  9. I ordered a slide from Atlas, a barrel from KKM and a Caspin receiver to build one. I own a Springfield Prodigy and want to build competition gun. Maintenance on my Prodigy is easier than my CZ Shadow that I used to own.
  10. I shot a friends Staccato and loved it. It was had a smooth trigger and recoil was great. Will I buy one, no. The price is outside my budget. I purchased a 4.25 Prodigy and love it. I believe I can get it to same performance as my friends Staccato and save money for mags and ammo.
  11. My question is are officers allowed to make internal modifications to their service weapons?
  12. Took me a little bit to figure out which gun went off. Kinda disturbing seeing that his hand was not on the gun at when it went off.
  13. So I have the same slide, but using a different optic on it. When reading the comments, there is someone selling an adapter plate to fix your problem. This seems to be a cheaper fix than buying another slide.
  14. I use One Shot also, it is easier getting it off than Dillions. Dillions is good, but gunks up dies after a while.
  15. With my Canik I did not have good luck with 147’s. It shot great with factory 115, but I ended up with 124’s. RMR are good and so is Brass Monkey bullets.
