  1. Here is the Browning Gold Piston in stock: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1005443670/browning-universal-piston-assembly-browning-gold-silver-winchester-sx2-sx3-fnh-slp-12-gauge With this piston my friends SLP runs flawlessly with Federal bulk packs and has for years. Good shotgun with light recoil when you run a Gold piston.
  2. 3.7 grains of Titegroup, 124 gr. Xtreme RN, at 1.15 OAL is what I run through a PSA 16" AR 9mm and a Rock Island Armory 2011. Runs great in both guns, 127 pf thru the pistol, which is close but i only use the RIA for 3 gun matches. I think it made around 140 pf for the rifle, can't remember for sure, I just remember it was well over minimum pf in the rifle.
  3. I traded for the gun and it was installed upon trade. I do really like it. Edges are nice and smooth. Sorry not sure what brand it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. I have a Red River Tactical holster for a Sig P320 that is a very nice double sided Kydex holster. I just picked up a RIA 2011 for 3gun and ordered another RRT for it. Very nice quality, tension adjustable screws, multi colors, and a veteran owned company out of Clarksville, TN. Lots of options available at a very reasonable price. With shipping $62 this is the Sig holster. My 2011 holster will be the IDPA cut which is closer to the chamber than this holster. I wanted it longer since there is more running in 3gun with a holstered pistol. This was my USPSA setup. This is an example of the IDPA cut Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Ran 60 of my reloads thru it today and it ran 100% with both of the new MG mags with TF bases. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Just an update on my new to me RIA TCM/ 9mm. I took it to the range a few weeks ago with the factory TCM mag and a couple new MecGar mags with the TF bases for the "fattie" magwell. Loaded the factory mag wouldn't seat even though the factory base has been modified a bit. So I went to the new MG's with the TF bases and it was a single shot pistol, both mags. Swapped the mag base to the TCM mag and it ran ok with my reloads but not with factory ammo oddly enough. The rounds were basically ramming into the non feed ramp base. So after watching the Atlas Gunworks videos on mag tuning and recoil spring tuning I found the problems I believe. I tuned my mags as instructed and the rounds come out of the mags with steeper trajectory, directly into the chamber. I also found the recoil spring was way too long and not letting the slide fully cycle. I trimmed the spring as directed and seems much better. Search Atlas Gunworks on YouTube for a wealth of info on the 2011. BTW the pliers used to tune your mags can be found at your local hardware store. They are simply chain pliers like these at Menards: https://www.menards.com/main/lighting-ceiling-fans/lighting-hardware-accessories/chains/patriot-lighting-reg-fixture-chain-pliers/90814/p-1444429534592-c-7519.htm?tid=-5884567820849154340&ipos=1 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Your correct, I asked him about it and he said it is good to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Sure reads like couplers are outlawed now?? Just when I get my Taccom coupler running 100%. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I have a dedicated AR.22 with PSA blem lower and a CMMG upper with a Primary Arms micro dot. It has been flawless with thousands and thousands of rounds thru it. Literally zero malfunctions that I can remember. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks. Won’t be shooting many USPSA matches with it probably anyway. I picked up a PCC last year and it’s just a ton of fun to shoot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Interesting. I have the PCC Chamber barrel, a Gen 1/2 bolt, and Gen 1 lower. I really like my PSA, its a great value. I picked mine up around Labor Day 2017 for $499 I think. I still am grinning from ear to ear after each stage, 40+ rounds (ya I get a little trigger happy, and might put a few extra holes in a target. LOL) of blasting as fast as you can. Can't wait till March for the season to start around here.
  13. That makes sense. My local club never checks magazine length. How many rounds the RP9 with the TF bases hold? 23? I have shot a Glock 34 for years and used to 23 round capacity with TTI base pads so might be a good thing for a local match for an extra couple rounds.
  14. Will using the RP9 make them longer than the 140mm length for 3 gun &USPSA?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I ordered 2 base pads from the Taylor Freelance website last Friday. Got an email showing they shipped on Saturday. Got home Monday and they were in my mailbox. From WA to IN in a couple days via USPS. AMAZED!! The bases are really nice, fit well in the TF “fattie” magwell and with my well used spring held 21 rounds pretty easy. 16. I am a lefty and learned to load 2 strong hand by moving the buttstock up on my shoulder and looking the rounds into the tube. Was decent at loading but I was constantly burning my right hand on the barrel. So when I bought a new M3K I decided to learn to weak hand load last off season. I did open the loading port a little on the right side, and smoothed the edges. Still load 2 but found I was loading quicker without the chance burning my hand. My suggestion is to spend these cold winter nights trying to load weak hand. 15-20 minutes a night and you will pick it up pretty quick. Good luck. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I picked up a PSA 9mm last year. It has be pretty good. Ran into some magazine issues with the Taccom coupler, but have those resolved. Also had a problem with an out of battery/blown case, I have solved that with installing the Taccom feed ramp. Ran some of my reloads and they were a bit long with Bayou Bullets, but with my Xtreme 124 gr. RN length is not an issue (1.15 OAL). I have found that bullet profile has a lot to do with how well the round chambers. The Bayou bullets have much rounder profile and stuck at 1.15, Xtreme's loaded at the same length passed the plunk test easily. Its really a trial and error thing. Other than that it has been pretty good on factory ammo. I have added the Taccom 3 stage buffer ( cut the recoil significantly), a POF trigger, Taccom feed ramp, a Magpul stock and grip, McDonald Comp, and a Trijicon MRO.
  18. Ordered 2 of the Mec Gar P18 mags in nickle and 2 Taylor Freelance base pads last week. Good to hear they are working well. New to the RIA 2011 world. I will be using it for 3 gun mainly, or the occasional USPSA match. I have one factory TCM mag as my 3rd mag, its a tight fit with the fatty TF magwell but works.

  20. Well the temp warmed up to the low teens today and I had chance to go try out the new Taccom 3 stage buffer. I gotta say I was really impressed with the reduced recoil/dot bounce. I guess it reduced the recoil 30-40%, impressive. It did take around around 100 rounds to kinda get broke in it seemed like. I put around 200 rounds thru it when I realized I was having trouble loading mags cause my fingers were numb with no gloves on...ya time to quit. I shot my standard reloads and all functioned well. Need to chrono a few rounds to check my PF, but think I will wait for a warmer day. Thanks Tim for another great PCC component. Well worth the $90 price tag IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I have a Blackhawk tactical rifle case that I use to transport to the match, but use a converted jogging stroller to haul my gun and gear around at a match. I think I read the USPSA rules spell out procedure for using a gun cart as opposed to using a rifle case/scabbard. I know of one club here in Indiana that were finicky about using a gun case (no carts, I think), then uncasing on command at the line. I think most of that club members only shoot pistol matches, as opposed to guys who also shoot 3 gun and are used to using a gun cart. I have debated using a backpack to haul my gear and PCC at a match. I haven't found a suitable backpack that is in my price range, or set up like I want. One of the reasons I like pistol matches is the reduced amount of gear needed as opposed to 3 gun. Still like the 3 gun game, but PCC has been a ton of fun.
  22. I zeroed at 15 yards. Seems a lot of the targets in USPSA competition are about 15-18 yards, IMO. Most classifiers as well seem to be near 15 yards.
  23. I have never used the illumination on my old school Burris MTAC. I can see it at well enough with out ILL out to 300 yds, and for hoser stuff I don't focus that much on the dot any way, just the donut. Now for PCC I like the Trijicon MRO RDS.
  24. Cool...there is an indoor match next month...so maybe I can get it all together. Still need to install the feed ramp, and make up a few hundred of my intended 124 gr. loads for next year. May also try to slightly mod my Geissele Maritime bolt catch to work on my PSA carbine.
  25. I phoned Sig last week re: the voluntary recall that I had signed up for. I hadn't heard a single thing from them since signing in with them over the phone back in early November. The customer service rep said he was having trouble locating my request form and would call me back as soon as he located it to let me now the status. I thought oh ya right, I will have to call again to check up on the status. Well couple hours later I got a return call from Sig stating the had found my request and I was in the 42,000 range of the 54,000 + range of request they had received, and they were currently in the 35,000 range of repairs. So according to him, I should receive notification in early January. I was impressed that an actual person called me back, and gave full disclosure of the status. Pretty cool Sig...keep up the good work.
