  1. Nope. Generally tumbling it in walnut or corncob is sufficient. You just want to be sure there's no mud or debris in the case. Some folks claim to only inspect and not to clean their brass at all, but I can't bring myself to that. I'm a little OCD and stainless steel tumble my brass and then give the finished rounds a brief tumble in corncob.
  2. I love Sarge's poem and learned it in my late teens. Now that I'm much much older, I really appreciate Steve RA's. When I was really young, my favorite was: One bright day in the middle of the night, two dead boys got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other. A deaf policeman heard this noise and came and shot these two dead boys. If you do not believe this lie is true, ask the blind man. He saw it all through knothole in a barbed wire fence.
  3. My CED was a pain. Got lots of ERR's on shots. It was my first chrono and the only one I had any experience with. I bought the Pro Chrono with bluetooth kit so it talked to my phone. It's awesome! Anyone with a CED who is interested in any of my working parts can shoot me a PM and an offer. I believe my silver brain box is the problem, but can't eliminate the sensors. Anyway, I have the complete system with carry case, plus another brand new in the box set of screens and uprights, plus the infrared screens.

  13. Welcome to the forums Jeremy. I certainly recommend you start with the equipment you have, see what others are using and they'll nearly always let you try their gear. That way you can make an informed decision and hopefully avoid expensive purchasing mistakes, and figure out what division(s) you want to shoot. Best of luck!
  14. I have the IF lights on my 650 and 550 and find them beneficial. I bought one for the 1050 but haven't put it on yet. When I looked at it, it didn't look like it would be much use. How do you like yours? I suppose I should give mine a go.
  15. Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
