Eric it was really just a cosmetic thing. I like the look of the 4.5" guns SVI makes. Although, at this point, it seems to be more pain than gain. I am probably going to stick with 5" guns for now.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. I think I am going to run with a bull barrel, It seems to be the lesser of 2 evils for this build. The bushing was strictly a looks thing for me.

Thank you guys for the info. Can a bushing barrel be used? I have a Kart bushing barrel already. No big deal as I have another build that will stay Government length. If a bull needs to be used for a 4.5" build I will do that & use the Kart bushing for the 5" build.

I want to get a 4.5" 2011 built. Can you take the 5" frame & 5" Unique slide & just cut them back half an inch, or do you need a different slide & frame? I assume the government rails versus commander rails on the frame come into play?? Thank you up front.

I am with the last 2 posters, I thought it was good and enjoyed it. Done very much like the original series, same mood and feel. I agree about the roles being reversed with Crockett & Tubbs, that was the first thing I told my wife on the way out of the theater. Always impressed with the gunhandling skills in Mann films.
