      Scott

Sorry to be slow seeing this, had family issues come up.  Looked for your PM and it's gone.  What I remember was $1600 and you pay shipping.  If this is not correct tell me and don't be offended i just have had other things on my meager mind.

      Thanks

      Paul

Are we going to do this?

  2. They've got us on the run With guns and knives We're fighting for our lives
  3. Steve's is Gordon Lightfoot "Sundown"
  4. Try a slower powder. I use 150 gr Blue Bullet rn over 4.2 gr of WSF. Slower pressure spike, easy ejection. PF is 138-140 which is too high but I won't risk going subminor ever again. Paul Beck
  5. Thanks Revoman, just ordered. I looked at Pachmayr for the standard grip that I have had 25 yrs and did not look any further. Paul
  6. Thank you Warren. I'll get busy. Paul
  7. CZT. Purchased in Feb '17. It has been reliable and accurate using TK .035 Clips for Win brass. and 147 gr Blue RN .355 and 4.3 gr WSF. PF is usually 140-142. I did the action job and run the trigger at 6-6 1/2 lb so I can run any primer. Only thing I was not happy with was the bolt did not go flush when pushed, the cylinder was stiff to open. I removed metal on the front face of the bolt until it was flush. Added a Hogue cylinder release and Pachmayr grips. Wish Pachmayr made N frame round butt grips, used a set of K/L grips and ground them internally until they fit. Chamfered the cylinder using a Harbor Frt. countersink chucked in the drill press and turned by hand. While I had the extractor out I rounded the sharp edge of the chambers under the extractor. I think that helped more than the chamfering, the clip would start to go in and then hang on that edge. How much weight can you drop removing the underlug? Thanks Paul Beck
  8. I have a "47 vintage 5 screw Combat Masterpiece that is badly worn and needed a new stop fitted. I bought a Powers oversize stop and have an issue. The new one has a recess drilled into the face where the spring plunger should ride, the old one does not. The new stop is not touched by the plunger and does not lift up to engage the cylinder. I'm sure Carmoney or Toolguy have seen this and have a solution. Do I need a longer spring or plunger or is it fill the recess? Powers is closed and I'd like to get it running this weekend. Thanks Paul Beck
  9. That is an EVIL look. Don't give him any MORE ideas. Paul
  10. Is this still accurate? I live 4 hours from the nearest club. Hoping to shoot the IRC this year since it's on my side of the country. Thanks Paul
  11. Will Far and Near be included? Want to know how far back to start practicing. Thanks Paul Beck
  12. If you want to move up in the match rankings stick to one. If you just like to shoot do both. After you make A then you will have the skill set to switch and not get hurt in the standings. Until then stick to one and become good with it, not mediocre with several. Paul
  13. Try WSF and about 4.0gr to start. I run a 929 and set out to make pf with a slower powder to reduce the sticking case problem. Never have a hard extraction and most times it's tap the rod with my thumb instead of slap it with the palm. I use Blue 147 rn. Paul
  14. Make a fist as if you're holding your knife tight enough to use it. Now look at the space between your fingers. That's how thick the loops for the index and pinkie fingers needs to be. Contact the American Knifemakers Guild and see who is in your area. Paul Beck
  15. Drop it as a classifier and keep the stage in the match. If its not "right " shouldn't use it to compare to what others have done. Paul
