Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Maybe you GP guys can help me out. I Picked up an X-Cal recently. It came with the shortest recoil spring installed. I want to make sure I understand the spring applications. The flat wire spring is for heavy +p loads? The longer round wire spring is for standard loads and best for 115 and 124gr bullets? The shorter spring is for light loads and best for 147gr reloads? Have I got it right? Also - anyone know the fiber optic rod diameter? Thanks,
  2. I have been running an M&P Pro in 40 Minor for Production. Was wondering if I can expect to get a longer barrel life running minor ammo at about 133 - 135 power factor. Loads are 180gr platted @ about 750fps. Have about 17,000 rounds through it. Still seems accurate. Actually have not replaced a thing on, including recoil spring. I do take good care of it - clean and oil/grease about every 1,000 rounds. Was also wondering if it is true that a barrel will loose velocity as it wears out reducing the power factor? Appreciate any insight. Thanks
  3. Hello All, First post in this Forum. Lots of great information in here. I have a new M&P 40 Pro that is having failure to feed issues. Round is getting stuck on the feed ramp. Not a mag problem - happens with several. It is worse with lighter loads which I can understand with everything being tight and stiff recoil spring in a new pistol. But, I have seen a couple posts in here for the same issue where it was suggested that shorter COL may be the issue. What COL are people using for the M&P 40 Pro. I have been using 1.125 (getting 1.122 to 1.128 variance). Should I push it out to 1.135 or even a little longer 1.140? Suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks,
