  1. I've got several 1911's crafted by Rich Dettelhouser (Canyon Creek Custom) in 9mm, 40 s&w, and 45 acp for competition use. Rich builds a great gun.

Sorry, my bad. I thought the new ACE SOCOM grip was steel. I just looked at it on their website and it says it's aluminum.

Icarus makes a steel frame for the P320.
  4. I've used Nowlin Arms trigger kits for a few of my 1911's. Very crisp and smooth. The kits i used break right at 3# which is my preference.
  5. I'm not familiar with this trigger kit. I'll have to check it out.
  6. Been shooting X5 Legions in CO the last two years. The stock trigger on my X5 Legions were pretty decent. I've tried both the Gray Guns Intl non-adjustable curved triggers, and the Armory Craft adjustable straight triggers. Both very good triggers that offered some improvement over stock trigger. What's everyone else's thoughts on X5 Legion aftermarket triggers you are using?
  7. I was shooting the very first CO National match when halfway through the match my red dot came flying off my CO gun. The screws were sheared off. Thankfully I had an identical backup. Another match with a different gun I had a fairly new trigger spring break. But again, fortunately I had a backup. And another match where during the match my red dot lost zero. Thankfully I had a backup. The instances have been rare over the years, but enough that if I'm going to take the time, effort, and expense to go to a match I definitely want a backup.
  8. Springfield is currently offering a rebate for 3 additional mags and a soft case to go along with the three mags and hard case that come with the purchase of an XDm Elite. The Elite comes with the new Match Enhanced Trigger Assembly and an extended grip safety with memory bump. To buy an aftermarket trigger and extended grip safety was $200. Now they are included. And with the 5.25" model to convert it to CO all you need to do is unscrew the adjustable rear sight, and replace it with a Springer Precision red dot plate. All this for under $600 if you shop around.
  9. Yeah, I don't know anything about the 92X so I didn't want to comment on it.
  10. If your budget is up to $1000 on just the gun, I'd recommend buying a Sig X5 Legion. It's optic ready with a decent trigger out of the box.
  11. PASA continues to put on a single stack match, the PASA Single Stack Classic. It's a one day match. This year it had 11 stages. The organizers use many of the stages from past SS Classic matches. It's a great match and a great time. It gives me an excuse once a year to get the SS out of the safe, dust it off, shoot the match and give my CO gun a short break.
  12. As you know the CZ Shadow 2 Optic Ready is ready out of the box for CO. Just buy a red dot. And one of the top proven guns for CO. But that being said, if you like the Beretta and only want to gear up for one model of gun for different competitions, stay with the Beretta for CO.
  13. Just ordered one from Grauffel's site. Thanks!
  14. Been looking everywhere for a Leupold DPP optic plate for my Shadow 2 OR. No one seems to have them in stock. Any ideas where i might find one? Thanks!
  15. There are always the replys of don't buy brand (insert any name) because they are junk but then they never give any specific reason or personal experience why they claim it's junk.
