    Glock 17 vs. 34

I shot a G30 at a GSSF match and I was very surprised when I looked at my hits. (won a gun) It is a very accurate compact firearm and the recoil was pleasantly mild.
  2. The P226 Elite Stainless is a nice option. I would add the E grips and change the front sight to a fiber optic.

    Glock 17 vs. 34

I go with the 17 with 127PF ammo and the 34 when shooting +135PF. The lighter loads in the 34 cycle too slow. Both guns can take you to the GM level if you do your part.

    Glock Recoil

Both have reduced power recoil springs. 11-12 lbs.

    Glock Recoil

I shoot a monthly falling steel match and I noticed a significant difference from the G17 to the SP01. It's enough for me to stay with the Glock. However, at my last match the top iron sight shooter was shooting an SP01. His times were where my times are usually when I shoot the Glock. Both guns will do the job.

    Glock Recoil

Specifically, my left hand was not holding the gun as firm. On the last two stages I had to really grip it hard to keep my left hand from moving.

    Glock Recoil

I was thinking the change in the recoil impulse is disrupting my timing and my grip would adjust over time.

    Glock Recoil

I recently purchased an SP01 AccuShadow thinking a heavier gun would reduce felt recoil. I was surprised to discover it was more difficult for me to manage the recoil despite the increase in weight. I regret leaving my G17 in the trunk to try another platform when I was doing so well with what I had. I suppose this is a lesson learned the hard way.
  9. Hello. I am looking at buying one and I was wondering if they will set off WSP primers reliably? Thanks, Higgins
  10. I'm sure people put me in that same category. However, I have had two and I ended up sending them both to Virgil Tripp to get them to run reliably.
  11. 1911's in 40 cal are often trouble even when in original factory configuration. I'm guessing you are asking for trouble.

  14. You realize there is no such thing as "just between the two of us" on an open forum right? Now we all know you cheat at local matches. Alleged cheater, there is no actual proof. I may be lying to to get attention. I tend to avoid that kind of attention. So now you are a cheater and a liar? Ooops, I mean alleged! My bad We can't rule out incompetence either. I am not very good with numbers. They get all jumbled up. It felt like a good load though. Now that I think about it, it may have been 150,000 PF or maybe even 501,000 PF. I can't be sure. Sorry guys!
