  1. Lucky me, lucky me! I got to fondle, caress, drool all over and actually shoot a Shadow 2 a couple of days ago. I loved it! There's nothing not to like. The CZ rep told me mine should be in the store sometime in April. Fingers crossed. Silly me, I forgot all about the production gun list. Guess I'll be bringing the heat to LT10 minor LOL.
  2. Update to Sunday's match at Silver Creek. It seems I'm not much of a math scholar at all. Let's just blame it on my public education and keep it at that please. The classifier "4 Bill Drill" seemed like a great one to shoot until I realized the targets were 35 yards away! So, in the interest of not finding myself duck taped to a flagpole before, during, or after the match I have decided to change the classifier to CM 99-23 Front Sight. The round count for the match is now 202. Hope to see you there! If anyone see's this and has an account on Indiana Gun Owners forum please copy and repost this message over there. Thanks, Rich
  3. End of Summer USPSA match at Silver Creek Conservation club Sunday Oct. 11, 2015. Registration begins at 8:30 am, new shooters meeting at 10:15 am, Hammer down at 10:30 am. Final set up help is very much appreciated! Round count will be approx. 214 with 6 stages and 1 classifier. Classifier will be CM 08-01 "4 Bill Drill". The Polish plate rack will make an appearance as well as 1 or possibly 2 Texas stars. Look forward to seeing you! I do not have access to the email list to send out to all shooters so please call your friends and let them know about the match and the nigher than normal round count. Thanks, Rich

  5. This was my first Pro Am and I absolutely loved it! There was a bit of a back up on stage 2 but those things happen in all matches. I thought the amateur stages were great. I loved the free beer, live music and meeting new friends in the evening. That was hard to beat! I hate to hear about all the drama, it sounds like Mr.Butler is absolutely a class act. My hat is off to him! I have to admit, I'm a bit confused as to why none of his friends or squad mates didn't go pick a rifle or shotgun out for him though. I know on the amateur side a lot of folks left early and had friends pick up prizes for them from the prize table. Gary Welborn, keep your chin up sir! You are one hell of a match director! I would be willing to bet anyone who calls one of your matches "stale" has never been a match director and has no idea how much work goes into the job you volunteer to do for all of us. Thanks to all of the RO's and staff that made this match possible. We know it's a lot of hard work. There are a few folks that will bitch and moan about anything, but the vast majority of us really appreciate all of your all's hard work! Rich St.Clair
  6. Hi everyone, I am a Firefighter/Paramedic who is pretty passionate about guns. I love shooting USPSA, Steel, and IDPA. I've been around guns since I was about 9 year old. I have been shooting competition for about a year and a half. I have watched hundreds and hundreds of videos, read countless magazine articles, and picked the brains of just about anybody that will talk to me about guns for the past 2 years. Today I had an epiphany! I have been scouring this forum for several days and honestly I think I have learned more from this forum in 2 days than I have in the past 2 years of sending thousands and thousands of rounds down range. I found some threads about calling your shots and took it to heart. I have always heard front sight front sight front sight but, I did'nt understand and I was doing it all wrong. Thanks to the advice from some excellent shooters willing to share their knowledge I finally know what "front sight" means. I took the advise in the thread and concentrated all of my focus on the front sight only, watched it all the way through the muzzle flip and back down on the target and what do you know. My double tap groups are tight! I still have a lot of work to do to be able to call my shots but, I have no doubt this information will raise my game to the next level. Thank you all so much. Great topics, great forum! Thanks for having me.
