  1. If you are going with a Vortex scope why not go with their mount? I have a couple of these and have had no issues.... the one on my main 3gun rifle with a Razor has held zero for 4+ years ...From original installation.... http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/cantilever-ring-mount-for-30mm-riflescope-tube-2-inch-offset
  2. BTT with my 100k Bump. My old Honda just rolled a ½ Million Miles this week… Not something you see everyday. On my way to 600k now…lol
  3. I have a M2 Pistol Grip I would like to sell. I like the PG Stock but not as well as the Comfort Tech for recoil... Mike
  4. I hope you are right ... I bug Ken at the Pro-AM every time I see him and he has been leading me to believe that for over 3 years..... I have a 22 Upper but I would like a better one....
  5. i would love to have one... To bad they don't make them any more
  6. This is an old thread but BTT.. :-) Just rolled 400k in my old Accord.... On my way to 500k with the original motor and transmition... got to love it....
  7. I talked to Gary about that last weekend and he said he was going to get out an email with information in the next couple weeks. You haven't missed any communication yet...
  8. I currently weakhand load 4 from caddies but I just ROed the Rockcastle SG match and was able to observe ~ 100 shooters on 2 stages and I will admit I was pretty impressed with the +2 method. I believe the top spots went to the load 4 caddies but the load 2 looks pretty good for the average shooter. I also learned that you need to be able to load in a dead run to be in the top few.... I do well just to run myself....
  9. Hmm, I wasn't planning to bring a cart due to the potential distance from the lodge. Are all the stages / zones pretty close this time? I know they have inner roads / trails that connect every thing but...
  10. Here is a link to a picture of a Storm 3300 with 3 guns... Link
  11. If you are talking the Pro-Am ones, they were home made as well. Those were my 5X5's being used. What size were the bases? I believe they were rectangular. did you have a flag or foot on the rebar ot keep it stable in the ground? They were cut in a capital "I" shape. Ill have to check the dimensions tonight. No foort on the base pole. that is a good idea. I notice at the Pro-Am they were "I" shaped. Was that by design or just the material you had available? If it's by design do you find it worth the extra effort to produce? Thanks, Mike
  12. I don't know about a 10hr drive for a Club Match but one of, if not THE best Club level match I have been to is in Owensboro, KY, Gary puts on an excellent match. At the Pro-Am he mentioned even stepping it up a bit for this Octobers match.
  13. Finally figured out what was wrong with the picture.
  14. I'm a big Honda Fan myself. I recently installed my 3rd Timing belt and rolled 300k on my 92' Accord. It's been a great car, I wish I could buy a new one just like it....
  15. Sorry for the delay guys, I haven't been able to read much lately and a friend mentioned this post... The gun holders are something I made up for temporary use but they worked so well I just left them. They are made from "Lean Tooling" Material used for making Storage racks and misc. stuff. The brands are Fastube and Creform. I have been told Fastube is easier to work with in small quantities. I used mostly fitting CN1 then CN7 to attach to the stroller. Mine is setup to run 2 or 4 long guns which I normally just leave at 4 so friends can bumb a ride... Good Luck, Mike
  16. I may have missed them but will stage descriptions be available before game day?
  17. Mike,

    Per you post

"I have no idea how well these rules will be received by most IDPA shooters interested in multigun, but I will say this, there is a local club that has been running "defensive multi-gun" matches since the provisional rules came out and have built a pretty good following. "

Which club you are talking about. I might be interested in a road tr...

  18. I went ahead and picked up a Storm 3300. I choose it mainly for the extra 1/2" in Width. Pictured with G34, 20" AR 21" Benelli It's a little tighter on width than the picture looks but I think it will work....
  19. Any Chance we could see a picture of a Scoped AR and a Shotgun in the same Pelican 1700 or Storm 3300? Mine don't seem to want to fit in the advertised dimensions. I have seen people take the AR apart to make them fit but I don't really want to do that. What is the minimum reccomended amount of foam that needs to be between the guns and or the gun and sides? Thanks ...
  20. I would run 8-9 rounds though it as fast as you can and make sure they don't back out on you. In addition to them not being where you need them the shell inline with the ejection port may cause a malfunction. Don't ask me how I know....
  21. With the bunching technique are you able to put the shells in the gun in the order needed in the case of Slugs ans Birdshot being mixed?
  22. Here's mine, I run the muzzles up and have never had any trouble.... Pictured with 4 guns but width can be reduced to hold only 2 long guns.
  23. I appreciate all the responses so far guys. I guess I don’t really care how much gas it uses my main goals are. 1) Maintain reliability 2) Get the most out of the system 3) See/feel a noticeable improvement To answer a couple of the questions above. I always shoot 62 grain Wolf (I know, I know but it’s cheap) The Gas block was installed as recommended ~4 years ago I didn’t get the JP buffer because of the $50 price difference and this thread which gave me the idea. I was able to confirm today that the modified buffer was 3.04oz per my local Food Lion deli. I have installed the original bolt and carrier with the lighter buffer and been able to cut the gas back to 2.5-3 turns open as it was originally. I think this eliminates the gas block and gas tube in the equation. Smokshwn I agree/understand > Force = mass x velocity squared, related to the spring but why does it take more Gas Force to move a lesser mass carrier ? > Force = Mass x Acceleration I’m not here to argue, I just want to understand obviously there are other factors and if it takes more gas, it takes it… Mpeltier I saw in different post where you mention using 2 Steel and 3 Alum pieces in the buffer did your guns seem to want a buffer weight greater than 3oz ? Thanks for the help...
  24. I guess I was just making the assumption that more gas wouldn't be required. Still thinking about the balance of forces part. I will admit it seemed to move a little less when I opened up the gas. Does anyone use a lighter/ modified buffer spring?? Thanks for the reply.
