Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I figured, it's just been a minute since I messed with a glock and I wanted to get a consensus. guide rod and spring ordered. Thanks!
  2. I got the 34 to off season train away from heavy guns to reinforce fundamentals, carry for varmint defense (coyotes always be after my goats/chickens), and the occasional hiking. I would like to keep the trigger reasonably reliable, maybe some springs and a connector. So, my 132 pf loads (124 gr coated lead, 3.9 gr N320, 1.100") I made for my Shadow 2 aren't cycling. Doesn't move the slide enough to strip the next round. Ya'll have more experience on this one, so should I just put some factory ammo through it and it'll break it in or buy a guide rod/recoil spring? If new spring, what weight? Thanks!
  3. Bullet diameter + (case mouth thickness * 2) = crimp measurement. Alternatively, creep the crimp in until the case gage stops rejecting.
  4. I shoot 2 identical S2's. Same optic, same trigger, same springs, etc. It's more predictable, and I can have a primary dryfire and primary match gun.
  5. I used to cam my wrist, which led to elbow tendonitis issues that radiated down to my wrist and felt like carpal tunnel syndrome also. Now, I use a much more neutral wrist, which is actually much stronger. https://youtu.be/GjyhWqbwDxk?si=y5tAJmw0eWUMforV
  6. I hope IPSC sees the shenanigans and decides to transfer the Region affiliation to an organization such as PCSL.
  7. I'm a certified Cerakote applicator. Brass is actually pretty soft, and, over time (talking some serious time), will loose a bit of aggressiveness. I've cerakoted my SSI grips and a set of the hollow brass LOK grips for a friend (the hollow ones don't have cerakote as an option). The cerakote seems to let the brass hold on to it's aggressiveness. https://www.instagram.com/p/CqJossBr4oP/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CulWBcPrqPG/
  8. I had a few light strikes with Fiocchi small RIFLE primers with the 12# lb CZC spring and a cajun extended firing pin. I think they were seated a little high though.
  9. Thick and not palm swell is SSI Scales 4.0 in my mind. Had LOK brass palmswells. Didn't point well from the draw consistently. SSI does better for me.
  10. My CO gun gets 23+1. Rune Tactical spring/followers get 24+1 with henning basepads, supposedly. Atlas states 23+1 in their competition mags. So...there's no difference.
  11. I have a CZ Custom aluminum one. It's held up fine for a season. I have a factory P10 plate waiting on my SRO to show up. They look to be about the same thickness.
  12. I'd just put extended safeties on my Shadow. There's effectively no performance difference between the two. I can see Prodigies selling like hotcakes (gee, I wonder if Springfield and Atlas had any input on this...).
  13. Trigger break entry and trigger break exit, designated target, and 1 shot per paper with wide transitions.
  14. Mine just showed up today. Slide fit is better than my current S2. Once I recover from the wife's Christmas shopping, I'll make it an exact copy of my current gun and I'll have a practice and match gun.
