  1. I don't fish. I shoot. ~ Christian "The Accountant" Wolff
  2. Long time forum member and local shooter Dr. Bill Nelson has passed in what seems to be tragic circumstances. Bill was a unique personality and although we were not close friends, I liked him. Rest in peace, Bill. News Report

    Which one?

Wow, Jay!! Can't believe this has 273 pages!
  4. I'm using the Springer but don't have too much mileage on it yet. Very inexpensive solution though; the factory mag catch is $2.50.
  5. Black aluminum ESP magwells are here. We'll be packing them tonight and will be in the website tomorrow.
  6. Can't believe this thread still lives! Started it some time ago... Bob Lee Swagger: Suppose I was looking for man who could make a 2200 yard cold bore shot, who's alive that could do that? Mr. Rate: Seems I heard about a shot like that being made not too long ago, said the guy's name was Bob Lee Swagger. Never met the man, so I wouldn't know. Bob Lee Swagger: Ya, they said that alright. Mr. Rate: They also said that artificial sweeteners were safe, WMDs were in Iraq and Anna Nicole married for love.

  8. Will be back in stock before the end of this week.
  9. SSS just got them in from anodizing. They'll be in their website by tomorrow afternoon.
  10. Craig, if you got your base pads recently you may have the redesigned ones that lock with the round peg insert as well as with the square one.
  11. You need this kind of sear housing block to use the RAM:
  12. Once again, much thanks to Ryan45kim for the info and photos of the old vs new barrels. Before this last batch of barrels we at SSS received one other, also of 5 barrels, and just like this last one they sold in less than a day. One customer returned one and it was gone again as soon as put back in stock. We've never had one of each to compare side-by-side and didn't know the difference but had heard the internet banter about the old vs. new barrel rifling issue. We place an order with S&W and receive whatever amount of brand new parts they deliver. We have no way of knowing if those parts were sitting on a shelf for one week or 3 years. There is no conspiracy here. We go out of our way to provide the best customer service possible but we can't please all the people all the time.
  13. That you, Ryan! This info will make it a lot easier. The rifling difference is noticeable, but not having one of each at hand to compare side by side makes it tough. The dots, however, make looking down the barrel unnecessary. All 5 barrel SSS received last Thursday sold by close of business Friday and already shipped. We'll be able to answer the age old question of rifling next time.
  14. SSS gets a bag of barrels from S&W (usually 5 at a time), puts them on the website and deals with the frenzy. No time to look down the bore. No conspiracy; no need to be suspicious. Edited to add: S&W does not I.D. the barrels by twist, same SKU for old and new.
