Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I can't be sure as I have only used it for a few hours so far. Going on online reports of battery life for this sort of torch it should last around 30 hours.
  2. Here is a very effective lighting solution for your reloading press. This is a $2 led key ring torchthat I have attached to my press with blu tack. This allows me to easily see 6 grains of N320 in 357 cases.
  3. Something that hasn't been mention yet (I think) is that a progressive like a Hornady LNL or Dillon can be used to only load one round at a time by simply putting in only one piece of brass until that has gone through all the stages and is loaded. I recently did just this to show a new loader how his press operated and to become comfortable with each stage and the machine in general. Once he was comfortable loading one round at a time he moved to progressive mode and hasn't looked back. So getting a progressive and using it like a 'turret' at first and then as a progressive can be the best of both worlds.
  4. I am trying to get a spare slide stop for my Phantom unfortunately no one in Australia stocks them. However, I can get a Shadow slide stop fairly easily but I don't know if it will fit. Could someone please compare their Shadow slide stop to the attached picture of my Phantom slide stop and let me know the differences if any. Many thanks in advance.
  5. I have a Scott Parker tuned Ohaus which combined with a USB microscope gives me repeatable kernel level accuracy, without the problems of electronic scales. Something to think about.
  6. I have a LnL and load 9mm and 223 with a case feeder. The change over is very simple and quick and it works very well once dialled in. As you already have a LnL it would be worth buying a case feeder and trying it. If you like it, keep it and you're done. If not, sell it and get a 650/1050.
  7. I believe that ADI has recently resumed production of AP-70 (Hodgdon Universal) and it is starting to trickle onto the Australian market. No update on the ADI website yet though and no idea of when they will begin to export again.
  8. I don't have a Partner press but do have an RCBS, you just push the shell holder towards the front of the press?
  9. 980mm or 38 1/2 inches from highest point on the case feeder to the bench
  10. Nioa is a major distributor of firearms and associated products here in Australia.
  11. Get you local Gunsmith to order it from Nioa. I spoke to them and they have plenty.
  12. I have a LNL and after a few teething problems it is running like clockwork with 9mm. The teething problems I was having related to the Winchester brass I was using. It was hanging up on the shellplate and causing the case to tip and make the whole process les than enjoyable. After switching to Starline brass the case feeder is running perfectly and the press is a joy to use.
