  1. RUSHUSA is advertising a replacement grip for a 2011 for use with single stack magazines. Has everyone tried these?
  2. I seem to remember a rule stating no full length metal dust covers for ESP (and now CCP). But I cant find it in the rulebook. Am I just missing it, or did they do away with it or was there never such a rule?
  3. I think that the 10+1 vs 9+1 is a bigger deal in USPSA then in IDPA. The advantage is almost always in relationship to steel targets and USPSA uses a lot more of them. When CDP can regularly win HOA in State and Regional matches with 8+1(and a lot more recoil) that kind of kills the argument. Is more ammo better, almost always. Is that extra round going to keep you from winning, no. Lack of talent or practice will but not an extra round in the magazine.
  4. Yank Price was the guy who thought the whole thing up and put it all together. He has since moved on to other things and is living in Florida. I designed all of the stages and set the par times. I had a couple of guys helping with the setup and teardown. We only had 3 bays so while they were shooting on one bay we were setting up on another bay after tearing down the previous stage. The Arizona Wrecking Crew was basically as described above
  5. The bulk of the dot bounce does come from the heavy BCG slamming back and forth which is why its so hard to get rid of.
  6. Its not the recoil that everyone is trying to eliminate. Its the dot bounce ....
  7. less weight, we use a lot of titanium in our muzzle devices. Aluminum doesn't have a long service life around corrosive or high pressure gases.
  8. Which can get a better double action trigger?
  9. I was referring to the ability to control group size, not prevent bullet tumbling. More about the whole gun stabilizing not the bullet. We regularly shoot our PCC's out to 100 plus yards and the long barrel/gun seems better at those extended distances. We have PCC's in our R&D shop with barrels ranging from 4" to 16" and we carefully record all test results. And of course its just opinion, but it is opinion based on daily real world experience. As far as proof, not sure what to offer. I did have a few PCC's at Area 1 for a fund raiser this weekend ranging from 4" to 16" that a couple of 100 people shot. If you would have come by I would have let you try them at 100 yards to see for yourself. Your results might have been different then mine.
  10. Really light and short is cool for high round count close in stuff but it doesn't like to stabilize on the longer, tighter targets. The best balance is probably going to be around 12-13"
  11. I have both, currently I prefer the 16" over then 10".

    Trap Gun

I started out with Remington 1100, went to a Remington 3200, then a Winchester 101. Ran a K80 for a long time, loved it. Currently using a Browning XL Ultra, very happy with it. Whatever you end up with, pay someone who knows what they are doing to fit the stock, it makes a big difference.
  13. I would be interested in the Ace rifle length if the other guy isn't.

      Hello,

I haven't heard from the other guy, it is in great shape.  It was taken off of a rifle and no damage was done to the foam.  I would sell it for $80 shipped.  If you want some pictures I could e-mail or text them to you just let me know.

      Thanks,

      Frank

I have a ton of AR parts, interested in doing any trading?

  14. For the Colt SMG magazine I use Safariland 771's for the STI but I mount them upside down on the backing plate so they set lower and don't swing around as much when running.
  15. I was solely concerned with the mechanical accuracy of the pistols without modification. I wanted to know how well they would shoot if I locked them in a vise and pulled the trigger 5 times. Fine tuning the pistol's ergonomics to match my particular style and skill set is a separate issue. Not all guns are incredibly accurate. Triggers don't affect the mechanical accuracy of a gun only the ease in which that accuracy can be reached.
  16. How accurate are the Tang's right out of the box?
  17. I have a 16" BAD and an ultra light weight 10.5" BAD, with a carbon copy backup for each. The 16" I use for California matches and most USPSA type stuff, the 10.5" for steel matches. I just leave the back up in the car with the extra ammo.
  18. I run one on a 10" SBR and it seems to help.
  19. It does run a little cleaner then the blowback model. All testing of the blowback and the DI has been done with factory 115's and 124's, no ultra light handloads have been used.
  20. In the beginning only as a complete gun or upper. As inventory levels allow, we will offer the individual parts.
  21. This is a DI gun, not a piston and yes it is still in field testing. It uses Colt SMG magazines but we also have a couple using Glock magazines as well. When it clears field testing it will go on the web page. Look for it at the Shot Show with a release date immediately after that. When the program is finished we will be offering a DI and a blowback, Colt SMG and Glock magazines, and a drop in kit and a dedicated lower.
