I've been an avid shooter and outdoors man since I was very young. I've been a LE officer for over 15 years at a large Sheriff's Office in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. I've been a FA instructor for my department as well as a contract instructor for the WA State Basic Law Enforcement Academy.

I began shooting competitively several years ago and immediately sunk myself in the sport. I began shooting IDPA and then added USPSA to the "sickness". I have met some great folks and have had the opportunity to be involved with great companies in the firearms industry as well.

Get to the range..... I'll see you there.

Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I did a slight undercut up front on one of my Eagles and it works well with me. Basically just rounded off the sharp edge of the guard
  2. Ya I know Yong, I work about 50 miles south of him. Knows his stuff.
  3. Run that FSS and try leaving the original trigger return spring in...that has always given me the lightest trigger pull.
  4. Just ordered a couple DPPs. Better keep this in mind, they are going on duty guns. That’s no bueno
  5. My fellraisers are 2 years old and still have great tread. They don’t see much pavement or a ton of gravel though.
  6. Might be worth hanging on to...pretty cool story behind it if it pans out.
  7. Did you send them an email or call? Every time I've called I've been able to speak to a person and get my questions answered.... Just a thought.
  8. Just ordered MBX mags...haven't heard too many issues so figured I'd give them a shot in my Eagle. Custom built gun, hard to complain about 350 bucks to try some mags.
  9. I just recently switched over to an Eagle for ESP in 9mm. If you're going to go 1911/2011 it's a very hard gun to beat.
  10. Just installed the semi drop in in my 5" gun on Friday and shot it yesterday at the range. Put 10 rounds through it...115 grain Winchester....and then sat down at 25 yards, set the gun on a bag and pushed out 5 rounds for this...... I didn't take a great deal of time but didn't rush it either. The gun is considerably more accurate and POA/POI did not change at all for me. Install was not quick! I have a cerekoted slide and it made things less than fun. Install time was about 3.5 hours but I did take plenty of time. Lock up is TIGHT. I ran 115, 124, 147 and hand loads and had zero issues while running a 14# recoil spring. So, shots 11-15 out of the barrel from a sand bag with moderate concentration yielded a sub 2" group at 25 yards....for what that's worth.
  11. Dawson kit it is. Any benefit to 140mm springs in 126mm tubes? Better upward pressure on the follower?
