  1. What did the WSB say? Not that it matters a lot but just curious. Where was the table? Any further details would help.
  2. That was my first real chrono and one my first timers. I think I still have my MkIV somewhere but that was ages ago. Since they are not keeping up with the latest technology, they really fell by the wayside. I mean, it's great to have one box that can chrono your rounds and then use as your timer for practice. Due to it's size, it's not really a great club timer so no one uses it for that. For personal use, it was great at one time but Pact never really did much with it after that.
  3. An edge hit is a partial hit. A ricochet is a hitting an object, bouncing off, and continuing on. I don't want to split hairs on the term "ricochet" but we normally use full diameter, partial diameter, and misses. If it was a full diameter hit on the first popper, ricochets or bouncing off of it (as was described by the OP), then continues on to knock down anything or make a hole in a target/no-shoot, it would not count, right?
  4. That rule is for when like poppers are stacked, like one in front of the other, then the bullet hits the edge of the front one. So it's a partial hit on that target, then the rest of the bullet strikes the metal target behind it, then it's a good hit on each (both must fall to score). A ricochet can not be counted for score.
  5. This is specific to a ricochet. REF.
  6. I wonder how the ballistic tests have faired? I can see it's smaller in diameter so that means more rounds in magazines so it will attract the "I need more rounds" people.
  7. Please update us when more of the 8 MOA dots come in. Thanks
  8. Same here, I'll have to pull up my old rule books but I remember that being used a lot back in the 90's. I just can't confirm if it was official or not, I did a lot of outlaw matches back then so I may be confusing it with those.
  9. These are pretty nice. I have a few for my 512s and they fit great and protect them pretty well. I am hoping they come out with some for the AEMS soon.
  10. At one time, I could only find 135 and 147s for my 9Major. I tried both and didn't like either. Of course, the 135 was a little better than that 147 but still, both had a strange recoil feel and the dot was really jumpy. If it's the only thing you have, it will work. However, lately, most weights are available so not really worth the time.
  11. Under the Special Conditions for Production: "...and must be on the approved list." Even if it's a clone, they still have to submit the proper paperwork to DNROI for inspection and compliance. Since Production is very specific to models that have been inspected and approved, I am sure that they are not allowed here. Of course, if you really want to shoot them, there's always Limited and Open. No sense in shoving a square peg in a round hole
  12. That's what I'm thinking to Ranger. In the old days, it was a problem with the ribs not extending all the down to prevent the round from slipping under the follower and that usually happened when you dropped a full/semi-full mag. It seems Coco did not have that happen so somehow, the dimensions must have changed a little or the follower may have changed. Did you replace it with the same Grams springs and follower CocoBolo? Has anything changed with their follower? Nice to see you again here, been a while.
  13. Would you cite your source for the photo part? I have read the bill as passed and nothing was mentioned about that. Thanks
  14. Stock up on them now! I'm betting you are talking about WA so the effective date is 01July so you must take possession of those magazines before then. If your pistol is finished after that date, they can't legally send those mags to you. I would contact them and ask if you can buy the mags separately now, send the mags now, and then send the pistol later for the transfer. Good luck
  15. Nice chrono! So do the SWMP loads use the same mix brass as the HS-6 loads? Same primer? I'm sure your crimp is good, right? Being these are JHP, it's not as big as a deal as it is with plated. Do you have any of the SWMP loads with the V2? I know it was mentioned but an inconsistent powder drop is looking more likely at this point.
  16. Good to see you again Darrell! Glad things are going better for you there. Take care.
  17. Searching on here can be a little difficult if you are not familiar with the syntax. However, another easier option that lands some good results would be using Google to search this site. Try this below and you will have enough to read for days! Just copy and paste this phrase below into Google search and you'll get what you are looking for probably. popple holes site:brianenos.com/
  18. HS6 has been my 9Major powder for years. I'm using the exact same load almost as you listed except the bullet (MG 124 JHP) and primer (CCI). I always chrono'ed at every Major and my home chrono between 169-173. That's in cold temps, hot temps, sea level, at altitude, East Coast, West Coast, etc. The only other difference that you eluded to was the batch. I purchased eight 8lb jugs years ago at one time and still using them so I am wondering if the newer batch you purchased may have an issue. I'm sure you checked but just to double-check, you don't see any powder spill as the filled cases are rotated in your press, right? I know some people complained about that one time on the 650. Good luck figuring it out. This is my favorite powder albeit a little dirty, it's still great.
  19. I'm not affiliated or connected with this product at all but you could try Quickload (See below). I have read about multiple people on here and other sources that have used this software for development purposes and most of the reviews I heard about it were great. Maybe this could be a starting point but from what I understand, you will need some very specific hardware to do pressure testing accurately. I know you stated roughly accurate but when you are dealing with pressures that high, being "rough" with the estimates could be very costly. Good luck! https://quickload.co.uk/products/ And welcome to the forum!
  20. This gives the max you can load out that particular bullet in that chamber. Changing the bullet profile or using in a different chamber would need to be retested. Also, remember it doesn't have to be this long, this is just the max. Also, pressure is not linear so the shorter you make your loads, you might encounter pressure spikes at a certain point due to the reduced internal volume. You have to find the "sweet spot" for your loads. For example, in my 2011 platforms, they really like long loads and it helps with reliability so my current load for them is is set at 1.175 OAL (This is 9mm). This functions well, reliable, no pressure signs, fits my chamber easily, etc. For my CzechMate, my loads are 1.130 (limitation of the chamber and the mags on anther pistol) and these also function perfect and run well. So my point is you have to weigh all the options with load data from published sources, find other empirical load data, and then make your own conclusion about your loads. That's the one thing I love about reloading, you have full control. Just don't do anything that is way outside the norm or is just screaming, "hey, hold my beer" kind of thing. And as George16 said above, start low, work up slow, watch for pressure signs, and always use a chrono. Good luck.
  21. I used to have a good load for N320 and 180s, I'll look around but I bet there are lot on here already, that's a good combination. Where did you find N320? On OAL, there are a lot of factors that go into that and I would never say to go against what your reloading manual says but this is what I do and several others I know do also. Load up a round without a primer and powder with something that might be a little long. Most Tangfoglios have short chambers so it won't be too hard and the bullet/weight/ogive/etc. also play into this configuration. Take your barrel out and you will be doing a "plunk" test. Drop your test round in the chamber and it will probably stop short. You will feel it hit the lead. Then start slowly seating it deeper and deeper while dropping it in your chamber until you hear it start make a "plunk" sound. Now with the round in the chamber completely, try to turn it. It should freely spin also. If you can do that, that's about your max OAL. In all of my Tang/EAA/CZ types, they are normally 1.130 and below. Search on here for the plunk test and I'm sure you will find tons of results. There are other better ways to find your chamber dimensions but let's just stick with this for something simple. Also, on the statement, "...people are doing upwards of 4.2-5.", most loads are slightly or more over what you see in some manuals. If you do that, it's up to you and I'm not telling you to do that, I'm just saying that's what a lot of us normally do. Look at 9mm Major...there are no published loads for a solid 170 PF 9mm load but thousands are shot every weekend all over the US. I'll see if I can look up my old .40 loads but I'm surprised you haven't found something like that on here.
  22. Is the barrel hood locking up on the slide or does it look slightly out-of-battery? What guide rod/plug or reverse plug do you use? Is it a bull barrel or do you use a bushing barrel?
