Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I'm talking about the 2.0 in 9mm. I bought the 2.0 in 9mm. I like my 1.0 better. If you want it, I'll sell it for $450 and I'll pay the shipping to your favorite FFL.
  2. HS-6 seems to be the powder of choice for 9mm major. But doesn't it burn awfully hot. Seems to me I tried that in 38sup and it had my gun so hot that I couldn't handle it after a couple of stages. It's been a long time since I loaded 38sup but I remember 9gr HS-6 and a 115 hp.
  3. That's what the S&W dude told me at the NRA show.
  4. You're right Sarge. But in a level 1 match the RO's have got a lot to do. If I have their permission I'm acting in their behalf.
  5. I will be using this in USPSA competition. Does that make any difference?
  6. If you're not part of the match staff, for all practical purposes you are not an RO at the time. The same rules apply to you as everybody else. If I see something like we're talking about, I will ask one of the RO's if I can deal with the problem.
  7. That's the only thing I don't like about about it. What replacement would you use?
  8. I have both the 1.0 and the 2.0 in 5". I'm glad I got the 2.0. It just feels better. Only problem I've got is the color. If I drop it in the dirt I'll never find it. Checked with the guys at S&W at the NRA show. They said it's scheduled for a change in 2 years.
  9. Only complaint I had with 3N38 was in the Winter I get an occasional brilliant muzzle flash that is 2 foots in diameter and bright white. I use 9.0 3N37 behind a 115gr jacketed bullet. Both had consistent velocity and good accuracy.
  10. If I'm not mistaken, the new targets are supposed to easier to see also.
  11. I've got a 1.0 in 9mm that I use for production. It feels great. Even though I've tried OP's tricked out M&P's I still can't see enough difference to go the extra bucks. The only thing I haven't done is ruff up the grip more. It's like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. I just can't get myself to do it.
  12. What do you guys do to settle a load of powder? When I use stick powder like Varget in a bottleneck cartridge " 308" that there are times when, even though I am using a long tube on my powder funnel and all the same brand of case I don't have enough room for all the powder. I'd have to check, but I think I drop 37 gr. of varget out of the powder measure into the case. After tapping the case on the bench top a dozen of so time almost the whole inside if the neck is showing. This is a butt pain, it breaks my concentration, and it slows me down. What do you guys do in a case like this?
