Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Hi, Does anyone know if the CR Speed WSM II holster will fit the Beretta M92FS pistol? On the product description Beretta pistol is included in the range of pistol that the holster can fit so is the Tanfoglio but I use it on my Tanfoglio I need to do modification to fit it? So now I am getting a M92FS just want to make sure I will not need to do modification to the holster again. Please help… Thanks in advance.
  2. Hey how did you go with that new mag base plate? Is it easier to engage the hole then the stock steel one? I am thinking of getting some if this helps. Thanks.
  3. Thanks squirrel, exactly the info I am looking for. I can't believe it, this pistol is so popular yet no one seems to have any complaint about this??? So now I have to carry another tool in my range bag imagine if I lose it or can't find this tiny pin during a match...
  4. Shot my brand new SP01 the other day GREAT gun, shoots great and zero malfunction except sometime the magazine will not drop free when pressing the mag release. This is minor problem. But the other major problem is when I try to reassemble the magazine base after I clean the tube. When I slide in the base pad back onto the magazine it is VERY hard to get or aim the notch/detent on the floor plate back into the base pad hole. It keep moving out of place (to either side) when I slide the base pad back on. For one mag only I used almost 10 mins just to get this back to its hole don’t think I can do this during a match when you have a few mags to clean. Anyone is having the same problem and what’s the fastest way to do this? Or is CZ selling the bigger size plate as I think this is due to the smaller size of the plate compare to the mag tube which thereby allows itself to move all over the place on the base of the mag. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Have just finished loading 100 rounds 38 Super Comp (Starline) through my 38 Super Square Deal B have zero problem. Can anyone please explain the logic why 38 Super Comp brass can't be loaded using the 38 Super shellplate? I have checked and checked and checked there is no problem for the 38 Super shellplate to hold 38 Super Comp brass at all. No way the brass is going to go out of place. The shellplate is actually 'holding' on to the rim's groove which has got the same dimension as the regular 'Super'. The only difference is the rim size has become smaller but still it is impossible to pull it out of its place if you know what I mean. Not to be cheeky but why almost everyone says it can't be done??? I really want to know why and if I am doing the wrong thing?
  6. Yup forgot about that one, that's one of the reasons too.
  7. The feeding of the rounds are just too stiff. I would like to reduce recoil spring weight but can't because anything lower than 9lb will not have the force to push a fresh round forward and feed into the chamber. I would like to load my mag to the maximum capacity but if I do so it's just too hard to push that first round out the rim of the top round always sinks in the groove of the second round. The only way to solve this is go Super Comp. If it won't work I'd just swap back and shoot regular Super.
  8. Will get an AFTEC for 38 Super Comp but I am now thinking of the breechface of the stock STI Trubor in 38 Super will it require work of any kind to run the Super Comp brass because the rim dimension is now smaller than the regular 38 Super? Will there be any reliablility issue? My Trubor has been running flawlessly shooting the ordinary 38 Super.
  9. As the title suggested do I need to do any tuning on the gun to shoot Super Comp brass? Does the AFTEC extractor need to be tuned? The whole setup has been shooting 38 Super without any problem for the past few months since I got it but I'd just like to improve its feedings.
  10. Will the existing shell plate that (without conversion kit comes in the 38 Super set up ok to load the Super Comp? I have accidentally loaded up a few SC brass through the SDB they seem to come out ok?
  11. Can I load 38 Super Comp (rimless) brass in the SDB? Will it work? Do I need to change the shell plate? Thanks.
  12. Don't know why they call it 'one piece' guide rod as I can clearly see the guide rod in my Trubor is 'two pieces'. Mine is the same type as yours with a small hole for take down. So this guide rod is not trouble free then? It could happen to my Trubor anytime too? I thought only RecoilMaster breaks that's why I opted for the 'one piece' guide rod?
  13. Just received my brand new STI RecoilMaster 'Light' for my Trubor 38 Super open gun and installed it and Wow... it is so light. I have not fired a shot through it and am worrying that there will be serious slide and frame impact. It feels like a 7 or even 6lb recoil spring if use a one piece guide rod. I use 9lb spring with one piece guide rod already worry about slide and frame impact, but this RecoilMaster 'Light' makes me even more nervous and hesitate to fire the first shot. I shoot Major PF at around 170 or may be I should get a RecoilMaster 'Heavy' instead? Anyone using a 'Light' one in their open gun and shoot 170PF (plus & minus) without any drama?
  14. Yeah I am aware of that. But I am just wondering if the outer spring can be swapped with other # springs to find the recoil I like or the original one will have to stay in there and use as a 'whole set' if you know what I mean.
