I meant to update this post. On June 19th I sent a request for a status update. The same day I got a response from Kelley Coder that Robert Pittman was out on vacation, Robert is who had responded to my previous emails ALWAYS a day or four after I sent the email. Kelley said he saw that the part had not shipped yet and he would check on it. Three days later I had the new part. Now, I have a gun that shoots great, not a single jam, very accurate, and very nice gun for the price. BUT!!, having to wait over two months to be able to use, shoddy communication, and having to jump through many hoops to get a replacement part have really tainted my Century Arms Canik excitement........

Sent Century an email on May 5 requesting an update. Got a reply today saying that they are waiting for a shipment from Canik. I take that to mean, "You will get when you get it." So my brand new gun sits in the safe and I am now rethinking buying a third Canik.

Interesting, I have a CK open gun and load my MG124's at 1.165-1.170. Back to the OP, have you tried any other bullets?

Thanks AZRock, I checked out the link. There are way too many options there for me to screw up. I had sent a request to Century Arms and CanikUSA yesterday, I got a response from Century Arms this afternoon after sending a friendly reminder to both this afternoon. I am pretty surprised at the amount of information they need just to send me a non-firearm part. Copy of original receipt for purchase of firearm, Serial number, copy of Drivers License, and complete a waiver of liability. I filled out all the information and submitted the forms back. Now I sit back and wait to see how long the process takes.

I just picked up a new TP9 SFX and attempted to mount a Vortex Venum to it. I mounted the number 1 plate to the gun and then started mounting the optic to the plate. As I turned the screws I noticed it felt spongy. I took the screws out and the helicoils from the mounting plate had come out with the screws. Anyone else had this issue? How do I fix this?

#1 can I safely push these to 1450 fps (124 grn RN) No problem. I shot 10k - 12k of plated Frontier bullets through mine#2 will they be accurate at this velocity Mine would easily shoot 3" groups at 30+ yards. 10" steel plates at 50 yards#3 will I be able to load them long enough to keep pressure level safe? I cannot remember what my OAL was, it was short, but never had an issue with pressure. I even tried bumping up the charge to see if more gas would work the comp better. I got up around 180pf before I started seeing pressure signs.

Yes, and put it on the left side if you are right handed. I have never understood why I still see right handed shooters reach across with their left hand to the right side to rack their slide.

Amy Jane pretty much nails the basics.

Ouch! That was a hard fall. Way to bounce back up and finish. Glad you are OK!

I am running 124 gr Montana Gold with 7.46 gr of Auto Comp, 3 holes, OAL at 1.165-1.170 and getting ~180pf to get the comp working well.

I have gone back and refined my load a little. Now using 7.46 grains of AC to work the comp better and it is SWEET! The dot does not leave the glass. 124g Montana Gold OAL 1.165-1.170 7.46g AutoComp String 1 1473 1466 1476 1444 1435 AVE 1464.75 PF 181.629 String 2 1449 1471 1449 1430 1443 AVE 1449.75 PF 179.769 String 3 1446 1494 1458 1458 1474 AVE 1464 PF 181.536

Just realized you are using a Trojan, they also have a single stack version. -

It has been years since I had the metal TacSol mags, so I don't remember my exact issues with them but I do remember I hated them. I sold them and got these: STI mags These work much better and are less than half the price. Depending on your gun you MAY need to modify them just a bit. I modify mine anyway so that they hold 18 rounds. -
Are you shooting 38SC or 9major with 8.2?

I am a 2011 guy, but THAT is a nice Glock!
