Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. So far, so good, only a little over 300 rounds (xm193f), but with no hiccups (AA COR rifle)
  2. Keisler's is great to deal with and doesn't have inflated "blue label" pricing.
  3. Ordered the only 226 E2 kit I could find on ebay a month ago, last one, nobody else had any available
  4. Red, because as mentioned, green blends into grass/foilage/backgrounds around here for a large portion of the year.
  5. Why going back to .180 ??? Werent you shooting low with it ?? ( oem is .180 ) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2 Was low with the sights it came with (novaks)... With the new warren/dawson setup (.170 front) its an inch or couple inches high at 25yds now, plan to get the .180 when available to be dead nuts at 25.
  6. Recently got a 9mm pro, found that the factory novak sight setup was like previously mentioned, way too low at 25yds, even if expecting shots to hit "behind the fiber dot". Got with Dawson Precision, ordered a warren tactical rear (always liked those) and got a .170 front fiber sight (the recommended .180 height front wasn't in stock and still isn't). Now it shoots a little high at 25 yds, but much better than much too low, plan to order the .180 when it becomes available.
  7. Starting to see combo rifle/pistol shoots, after the normal pistol IDPA event , ran just like the IDPA match. Shotguns will likely be mixed in this coming season.
  8. Although the turret detents are very positive on the pst, I've found my windage turret a few clicks off zero after going thru a course of fire or getting in/out of vehicles. Really like the scope and reticle, would be really nice if the illum was capable of going a couple levels brighter.
  9. I have been using an ADM recon x on my AR for awhile now, very high quality mount. Recently got one of they're new 20moa mounts for my latest 260 AR build. ADM makes excellent mounts!
  10. I bought one last year, to get me by for a couple weekends, while waiting for my PST, after I sold my CMR and returned my burris tac30 and xtr. For the price, it really wasn't all that bad, returned to zero after dialing up/down quite a bit, was pretty clear and had really forgiving eye relief.
  11. When I got my 4-16 pst, inside the box looked like it also went thru the shaking described, it works fine.
  12. JBM app provides me accurate and reliable data for various loads, out to a thousand yds (range limit).
  13. Could have been the overtravel, it was factory installed on a dpms 3g1 rifle, but I did watch the whole installation video while checking function, and it seemed to be set-up about as good as possible according to the vid. Figured I'd try the S3G, if I didn't like it, return it and get something else, maybe a JP. S3G didn't require any fitting or tuning, or any screws, simply install and run. The geissele is really silky, roller bearing like, a different kinda smooth, wish I'd had both next to eachother to compare.
  14. Recently had a rifle with a JP trigger and just last week I set up a rifle with the geissele S3G. Seems like the JP had a shorter distance of reset travel, but longer amount of travel to fire after reset. The description of the S3G's feel being similar to the para lda is accurate, a very smooth/light ball bearing feel pull, same from beginning to end of pull. The reset on the S3G seems a little longer than the JP had, but after reset I think it travels less before firing. I can't compare them side by side however, as I sold the rifle that had the JP trigger in it. Can't go wrong with either, imo, both seem like great triggers.
