Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I am just about totally deaf so, no, I do not use the telephone. They should still have the courtesy to respond to e-mail and snail mail.
  2. I started having extraction issues with my XDM 5.25 in 9mm. I cleaned the gun top to bottom but I noticed heavy pitting in 3 spots in the chamber wall. I e-mailed Springfield Armory (SA) twice, snail mail once all to warranty to find out if this would be covered. Didn't get the courtesy of a response of any kind. Letter to PR woman went unanswered also. Anyone else have pitting issues with the SA match barrels? If so, any luck getting SA to replace it. I'm at the point now to replace it with aftermarket bbl. Any recommendations?
  3. I am the acting RM for the matches of the original post. We have a lot of new shooters to the sport who have no idea what they would have to comply with if they went to a level 2 or higher match. The MD and I were thinking of doing an equipment check and chrono at one of our level 1 matches to inform those who may not be in compliance.
  4. Worked a Steel Challenge match at a local club in Florida and when I brought up the review screen, it would display the percentage and classification the persons score was for the official stages. I updated my android tablet to the latest version of practiscore but it does not show the % or class upon review. The tablets used in the FL match were android driven. What am I missing?
  5. Shot a match that had a classifier. Before my squad shot that stage the match director told us that the stage was being thrown out due to the improper replacement of a target. Squad, while waiting, still shot the stage knowing it was not for score. Upon posting of results the stage was deleted, however, the only penalties (2 no shoots) and misses (1) that I shot in the entire match on that deleted stage still showed up in the Match Overall results page. My e-mail to PS support apparently goes to spam based on past questions so that is why I am posting here. Any ideas on why the scores from a deleted stage would show up anywhere?
  6. The stage description will be "hands at sides." Nothing about requiring an object to be held or thrown or used to activate the stomp pad. That will be the gamer/s plan to avoid sidestepping onto the pad and then to the shooting box. There will only be two steps from start position to shooting box so grabbing a mag out of a pouch would not be as quick as already holding something in their hand. I would need something more than "I heard" to not start a competitor because he is holding something in their hand if they choose to do so. I need a rule that prohibits the act of holding an object in their hands at the start position other than as previously mentioned.
  7. I do not want to inhibit freestyle thinking and I do not like lengthy legal like written stage descriptions to prohibit an action. I also do not want to require the holding of an object as that could easily be written into the start position. I just want to know if it is legal under the rules for the competitor to hold an object, other than gun, mags or ammo prohibited in rule 8 something, in their hand at the start signal. Yes, the thought process is to activate the stomp pad while passing it entering into the shooting box rather than make the detour and step on it or pulling a mag out of the pouch.
  8. Scenario is a stage where the competitor must activate a stomp pad either before, during or after entering the shooting area. Rules section 8 prohibits handgun, ammo or ammo device in hand at start I found no rule that would prohibit the competitor holding an object (rock, squib rod, etc) in his hand at the start signal to drop on the stomp pad. Or am I missing something?
  9. Downloaded 1.4.7 and can now upload the match results from the tablet. Problem solved Thanks
  10. Was away yesterday. I e-mailed the export file to: support@practiscore.com just a minute ago. Will get new version.
  11. Here is the link from the Practiscore web site that I sent my e-mail question to: mailto:support@practiscore.com I just tried again to upload the same results from the tablet that my phone was able to do and, again, got the same message "error posting to practiscore.com; timeout" Phone is version 1.3.20 Android Tablet is version 1.4.1 Android Steel challenge match I used the same internet connection in all attempts with tablet and phone.
  12. Sent e-mail to support but I have not received a reply. I replaced the older version on my Samsung tablet with Version 1.4.1. I then held my first steel match for the year and tried to upload results to Practiscore. Every attempt resulted in an error screen saying it "timed out." No problems with the older version last year on this device. I synched my tablet with my phone which has the older version and was able to upload the results from the phone with no problem. ????? 13. Thanks for the reply. I did e-mail support about 5 days ago and never got an answer, hence my request for info here. I knew about the ios version being capable of generating the report but I'm pretty sure I read on practiscore facebook that an android version was available in mid Feb to do the same thing from the practiscore.com web site after match results were posted there.
  14. Just read that there is a way to generate a web report that is compatible with SCSA after the match is posted on Practiscore.com. I just ran a test match on my Android version 1.4.4 and can not find the tab "web report" at the bottom of the results page. Yes, I am MD and looked on the results page, club results page with no luck. Help please
