Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I looked at this thread a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't figure out what you meant. Now that my Cyclone came in today...I get it! I just turned the Cyclone upside down, and it works fine. I may look into getting a spacer figured out at some point, but for now it works well!
  2. I just purchased a CK Arms gun that has a metal grip with the long wide dustcover. The gun will mainly be used for 3 gun, and I am having a tough time finding a retention holster for it. Any suggestions?
  3. I recently put together a 10.5" 9mm AR, and it shot incredibly well. A couple of days before my first match with this short fun gun, I pulled it apart to lube it up. Evidently, and unbeknownst to me, the firing pin spring took off when I pulled the bolt to lube it up. When I reassembled it, I put everything back together...except I had never had a blowback AR apart before so I didn't know there was supposed to be a spring on the firing pin. I didn't test fire the gun before the match, and stage 1 turned into a cluster. Oh the value of a $2 spring! When I figured out what was wrong, it was a quick fix. Sadly that didn't remove the FTE penalties from my score. Beware...blowback AR's require a spring that has guns don't!.
  4. How many people are using an SBR in PCC competitions? Do you see any issues?
  5. I am getting about 4" groups with my 147 Xtreme load. It is definitely more consistent when I use all of the same headstamps. I might have to buy some Montana Gold bullets to see what results I get.
  6. I am just wondering what you guys are running for loads? I know each pistol will be different, and exonerate you from liability for my own dumb-assedness! I have been shooting mixed brass, 3.2 gr of Titegroup, 147 gr Xtreme Bullets, loaded at 1.146. I am just trying to tighten up the groups. This load is acceptable, but not stellar.

    18.9 Holster

I ordered a G Code XST for a STI 2011 5", and it works great. Nice holster for the money.

    P18 for multigun?

The base pads fit just fine on the Canadian mags, as those are the ones Dawson originally made them for. They aren't long enough to latch in place in the pro custom. I dropped my pistol at the gunsmith today for a little bit of work. Should have it back in a week. I told him I am not in a hurry, since bow season has taken my attention off of multi gun at this point of the year.

    P18 for multigun?

The Dawson base pads fit on the new Pro Custom 9 mags. The Mecgar mags are too short for the new Pro Custom, and the old Canadian 20 round mags don't work either in the new pistol. Unfortunately we just have to wait until Para releases them.
  10. I am the guy that has the Krieger. If it won't shoot 77 match ammo, then I wouldn't waste another round on it. Send it off to be cryo'd and never look back. I wasted a couple hundred rounds of 77 SMK ammo and the time to reload them trying to find a load it would like. I should have listened to Joel (of V7 Weapon systems) right off the bat and sent my barrel away sooner.
  11. When my barrels degrade in accuracy that fast, I use Sweets in them right away to cut the copper fouling. Groups return to normal immediately. Just don't leave it in the barrel very long, as it is ammonia based and will eat your barrel if left for long enough.
  12. I noticed that they increase the OAL by about .005 compared to other mixed brass. Works fine, but it did affect accuracy.
  13. Stage description specifically didn't allow it.
