Looks for Target (4/11)

  1. Hi guys, been out of the game for a few years. Anybody blogging about the day-to-day shooting or coverage of the super squad? Would really love to back-read. Thanks in advance.
  2. Not a rule, more like the norm for safety's sake. Chambered starts, unfortunately, are rare.
  3. Try cleaning the dot with compressed air. My old cmore had that prob and I was able to get the dot clean. The two new ones I just got started with bright, sharp dots. Several K rounds later both look like doughnuts which lead me to think powder residue somehow gets inside it through time and gunks it up.
  4. Couple of vids in a local match. Didn't realize I was breaking her in at 183PF until we chronoed yesterday, no wonder my wrists started to hurt . Will try out a regular standard load with fast powder and see if it helps lessen the battering.
  5. After about 2K rounds, several hundred reloads and too many starts from tables, drawers, etc. she now has a bit of 'character.' Here are a couple of views of the comp (which I'm beginning to think doesn't really do anything but put weight up front), as requested. And one from inside the IPSC box, very close to snug fit.
  6. Thanks. The old OKO design is screw-in with an o-ring. In spite of that, covers popping off are still very common on modified div guns. I wonder if the cmore will fare better.
  7. How's the batt tray secured? Thinking of getting this one and use on my modified (div) gun.
  8. LOL! Thanks for the info. Yes, I needed to cutout the skull because I couldn't get anything to stick to the tape and use it as stencil for spray painting. And those that did stick left a smear on the edges after painting.
  9. I'll take a pic with it inside the box once I get IPSC box from my friend.
  10. Somebody pls bump me on the same page. Who's Micah?
  11. Thanks! That photography thing was the one that kept me away from this hobby for over two years. Thinned out the wallet way too much on stuff that would just be spending most of their time in a dry box. Good thing, though, is that they kept their value and I was able to sell them at good enough prices. Anyway, was finally able to shoot her yesterday. Gun handles quick. It does snap a bit more than my open but it doesn't have that open gun 'sting' which makes shooting it more comfortable. Might be just a 'new gun effect' but I'm getting better times out of this thing relative to my open. And the hits are easier to see! And, yeah, getting a gun, mag and optics to fit inside the ipsc box will result to a really cute open gun! lol!
  12. Thanks guys! The slide cut design was copied from the design of my airsoft surgeon aluminum slide. The grip tape design is just regular 3M grip tape, spray painted and the skull cut-out with a box cutter. @adiksaputok, it's the same local smith who made my standard gun before, Col Bayang. @bulm540, yep Armscor frame and the new armscor medallion bull barrel.
  13. After shooting it for a couple of weeks in-the-white (or more like rusty all-over ) I finally had it re-finished in what 'they' call Ti-chrome. Off to the range to re-zero this thing, and if it runs, shoot a local match with it this coming weekend. Gun started it's life as my standard gun. After my shooting break, I had it chopped up and converted to modified.
