Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. http://www.horrychapterwildlifeaction.com/index.html I don't think they do USPSA anymore but it's still a place to shot. More than 30 minutes but under an hour. Depending on which side of Florence you live on. Worth a shot.
  2. Well off the top of my head if you come down 81 and then hit 77 south you have Statesville (3rd Sun) in NC which is pretty much right on the interstate 45 miles North of Charlotte and then when you get down to Columbia, sc on 77 you have Mid-Carolina Rifle Club (2nd Sat), my home club even though I haven't shot a match there in awhile, good people and fun matches. They have hosted the US IPSC Nationals for the past 2 years, so they know how to put on a good match. Then down at Charleston you have Palmento Gun Club (1st Sat). The 95 route you have Raleigh and Ant Hill, a bit off the interstate but it's a beautiful range, probably some others that I'm not aware of. He are the links for SC/NC sections check'em out. http://www.ncsection.org/ http://www.southcarolina-uspsa.org/calendar/calendar.htm
  3. Dump the C-More and get an Aimpoint Micro. 1. Made of metal not PLASTIC. No cracked body from over tightening locking screws. 2. No sun washout, regardless of where the sun is on the range. 3. Low mounting with the DAA mount SIGNIFICANTLY lowers learning curve. (Shot a C-more for 2 years and after mounting the AP, one the FIRST draw it was just there.) 4. Gun is more easily tuned since nothing is anywhere near the ejection port. 5. Don't have to worry about turning it off and on during the match, turn it on and leave it alone. I've screwed around and left mine on for a week once, a couple times, still the same battery a year later. 6. No need to worry about zero drift, these things are solid. And finally,,,no, I do not, have not, and do not expect to work for A-P. They just work!!
  4. LOL that was pretty good,,,,,,,errr funny good that is . I hope when you got home you cleaned that Kimber up and got all that funk off it. You shouldn't treat that poor Super Match in such a way.
  5. Never had a problem with them. Shot 135 gr. 40's at about 1,275 fps. Used a little more powder than lead but less than jacketed. Start low and work your way up.
  6. I think you talke youself in a circle , maybe twice. From what I get from this is yes you are correct or is no there doesn't need to be a discussion. If there is not a rule saying you can't do it then it's fair game.
  7. Really? We had sales reps 20 years ago, how the @*#@ did they manage to do it then. Let me guess, you drive better after a beer cause it makes you pay more attention to.
  8. Hate it as well, hate cell phones period. $25 per offense, doesn't go on your license (so they can continue to do it) and no limit as to how many you can get. States would be debt free within 2 years. Hell, departments could hire more Leo's with the extra income and probably catch more bad guys due to more traffic stops. Sounds like a plan to me.
  9. After years of listening to MS telling me about "better" ideas I finally got it thru my thick head,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and bought a MAC. Now I do what I want to do.
  10. I don't know where you came up with your definition of a dummy round from, and I'm not trying to argue what a dummy round is, but it wasn't from our rulebook, which is all we can go by. 2.4.2 includes empty cases in the dummy round category. Now, what IS in a definition glossary is this "Loaded Firearm: A firearm having a live or dummy round in the chamber or cylinder, or having a live or dummy round in a magazine inserted in the firearm." So, long story short is the shooter was walking around with a, by definition, loaded weapon. DQ 10.5.13 plain and simple.
  11. Just watched it, Ashley is gone. One down, one to go.
  12. Even though history is history and truth is truth, sadly it depends on where you went to school as to the causes.
  13. This goes back to this thread http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=95545&st=0&p=1093431&hl=ipsc%20missouri&fromsearch=1entry1093431 Let them change it, who gives a shi*, doesn't mean we will. It is different right now as is, they shoot 160 we shoot 165, their minimum bullet is 120gr. ours is 112gr. The way things are going, in 5-10 years I don't think we will have to worry about IPSC anyway.
  14. I ran Berry's for awhile until they started charging a "lead surcharge", but I think they have stopped that. They seemed to shoot accurate enough for this game and I was pushing about 1300 fps with them, but I would prefer Rainiers if giving the choice. You also have to load Berrys a little shorter due to bullet design. Currently, I'm running MG 155 JHP with some HS6 simply because I know that when I need them I can get them without having to wait months for a backorder. Midway is about the only place that I've seen with Rainiers at a decent price, when they have them.
