Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I figured I’d ask a place I trust rather than Facebook.....I saw a post on Facebook with links to others that showed blown guns because of perceived out of battery discharges. I’ve loaned my brand new x5 legion to my sister to use (brand new shooter) I’m doing all the reloading etc....I’ve been shooting USPSA since 91 and am Master in open (I know how to load ammo) Are these guns safe to reload for without going to a Bar-Sto barrel? These posts have got me freaked out. I checked my barrel with my ammo and it plunks fine. Im using my PCC load .....124 MG’s over 4.1 gr of VV N320......1.125 oal I intend to keep the gun/ trigger stock...currently running the Red spring (12lb I think) and it closes fine... Not planning to load my brass until it croaks but hoped to get at least 5 or so loads on some “once fired brass” I bought from Ammo-Brass....I bought 10k.... Thanks.
  2. I have all gen 2 mags with grams spring kits and Taran bases. Work 100% straight out of package zero “tuning”....I was able to go down in recoil spring weight by 2 pounds with the new mags over the old gen 1’s.......I love mine. Had two mbx mags and sold them....the springs went soft in no time and I never trusted them .....I get 29 in my gen 2 170’s with no effort and they costs considerably less than a mbx.....
  3. Back in the 90's 10moa was the norm and every once in a while some geezer would show up with a 15......some guys used as big as 20moa for steel challenge......The cmore's came out with 8's and everyone had to have an 8................Everything is going smaller these days.......I like the 6's.....I can always turn it up to starburst if I need something big for close stuff.....
  4. Tried to use the 124g truncated hollowpoints in my gun and they won't feed worth a darn......My magazines feed roundnose bullets 100% and I'm not willing to go bending on something that works. I like the accuracy of a hollowpoint however........was looking at the .357 sig hollowpoint 125's as they look much more like a roundnose in profile.......Has anyone used these in their super comp with success? TIA

    More AFTEC

I had NOTHING but trouble trying to use the correct extractor just like you. I ended up putting a super extractor in and it works flawlessly with super comp now.
  6. Saying that comps don't work with minor loads is complete bs. If you have a screw on comp; before you glue it down next time turn it 180/upside down and shoot some minor through it. News flash, they DO work.
  7. The base of the jhp makes them more accurate.
  8. I have two guns that refuse to shoot the truncated MG 124 JHP's......I've tried every length imaginable and no go....I refuse to go bending on my magazines when they work perfectly with other bullet profiles so I've been stuck with round nose cmj's I was looking at the MG website and found the .357 sig bullets There is a JHP that is more of a round nose profile and they are sized the same .355 Is there any reason not to use these in my super comp say like overall length or something weird like that that I'm missing? has anyone used them before?...... Thanks
  9. Is it a bull barell by chance? Those always eventually shoot loose. Not much threads there.
  10. I got the CED one and I love it. It goes around the whole gun and isn't bulky at all.
  11. Got one thanks to you. Appreciate it. Thanks!
  12. They make a giant eraser for belt sanders to extend the life of the belt. You can get them at harbor freight. Just rub the grip tape with it and it will remove the crud and save the grit.
  13. You need to clean the grip with high percent isopropyl alcohol first. If it doesn't stick well then, peal it back off and spray the back of it with some 3m 77 adhesive spray.
  14. Can someone clarify a question for me. When you lock the lock screw down can the adjustment screws still turn? Thought someone said that it locks the internal works but not the screws themselves?
