  2. Agree with painting your own targets before you shoot. No way to enforce an honor system based on application of paint at specified intervals at locations far away from civilization.
  3. Basically, I did almost all the list that GunBuBit posted. I had Printz firearms in Essington PA do the porting and silver cerakote. I replaced 90% of MIM parts and I had KI Precision in Vineland install Atlas trig and tune it up. They also did the "bob marvel cut" which makes a HUGE difference. 2-2.5lb trigger and racks like butter. KI said they were going to start selling it as a package, with the Prodigy, for 25ish, which seems a bit steep to me. I got a deal on BNIB for 995, plus like 700 in it? So I'm not complaining. He had 2 prodigy, 2 stacatto, an Atla and a masterpiece arms in the case that I got to man-handle. Only the Atlas and MPA made me drool. The two stacatto and my prodigy were about the same. Not saying they are the same, just felt the same. Then again , I'm at the price of a Bul Armory sas ii, so yeah, I'm grinning like a prarie dog in heat

  6. Not sure if anyone here has tried the Jard trigger for their PC Carbine, but if so, I'd be curious to hear your experience. I installed one in my brand new PC Carbine (no mods), and the damn thing randomly goes into burst mode. I contacted Jard and made the adjustments that they said to make, but I still had the same issues. Jard was cool and took it back for repair, and they were quick to get the trigger returned back to me. Unfortunately, I'm still having the exact same burst fire problem as before. The trigger feels great during dry fire, and I'd love to get this thing operational since the stock trigger is trash. I've noticed that there are a lot of aftermarket parts for this gun that have been quickly discontinued, including the Volquartsen trigger, so I'm guessing that these guns can be temperamental if messed with. If anyone has a fix for this issue, help would be appreciated!
  7. I would bring your own paint and go paint your targets before you shoot and make everyone wait for you if you want to force the issue. A shooter should be able to request paint before they shoot for sure. That being said, 100% do not think it should be specified in the rules to be required. I shoot at a number of clubs that can’t keep up with paint enough to allow for painting between squads, much less any number of shooters on one squad.

  9. That would be a fine solution if the MD permitted, but that's not the case. Paint on request would appear to address shred's concerns. I believe the rule without exception for Tier 1 requires painting between shooters; that might tend to stretch out matches a bit especially given the prevalence of 10 gun/5 shooter squads, but there should be a soft landing somewhere.
  10. The matches in my area don't usually paint between shooters but we do when our squad changes stages. We also have a standing rule that if anyone feels like they want the targets painted before their turn, then they can request it. No sweat. That sounds like the best solution
  11. Why should every other club match have to paint because of your issue? Wouldn't it be easier for the match to say "paint every 4 shooters" themselves? That said I like painting between shooters, but most don't want to bother and I'd rather have matches with no painting than no matches.
  12. Our local week day matches don't allow painting. It's not a cost issue since the 4 stage matches are only $5 for club members. There is absolutely nothing at stake other than a)bragging rights if applicable and b)classification, but when the 11th gun comes up in Five to Go one or more of the targets can be absolutely black and depending up sun angle and background said target(s) can be nearly invisible. I'd like to see a rule that requires,as a minimum, that targets be painted after every 4 shooters; wouldn't take much time and would provide every shooter in a squad a reasonably clean target. Clubs would be free to skip the painting, but then couldn't upload their scores to SCSA. Thoughts?
  13. Damn, I've been thinking about a prodigy as a backup gun and this kinda solidifies it
  14. Just thought I'd drop some pics of mine. 3 months in the making with help from most of you on parts

Since they aren't using them anymore have them send them down to me in San Antonio.
  16. I have always just assumed it was either for a double or no charge. I’ve had a no charge once or twice for some unknown reason (digital powder measure).

  20. the precision moly coated smoked with tight group, they even said dont use it.. I mean t wasnt enough to really cause much issue.. I think once on a really hot humid day with no wind and sun at the right angle it was pretty noticeable . I still have quite a bit of it, and pretty sure I am mostly using Bayou bullets these days.. I have a case of 38 short colt sitting at home and some Bayou 147's,, may load some up,.. Guess thats a side affect of chasing latest greatest,, or changing sports/ platforms.. You end up with lots of partial jugs of powder. Ive got plenty of American Select, WST , tight group, AA2, and clean shot that all do about the same thing...
  21. I put a regular belt clip on the device instead of the velcro strap.

  23. Grabbed one of these to try in my Davinci DG-9. The recoil reduction with even hot factory pistol ammo was impressive. My findings were similar to everyone in the original post… crazy hard to charge the gun. Making unloaded starts or malfunction clearance difficult. Playing around with a solution that’s looking promising. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5rV-pKrq8s/?igsh=MTBieXRoaWhqMGV6Mw==
